Oh and please tell Paul, I'm out, but like Arnie wotsisname I'll be back.

  2. Would it be feasible to post the pics of the dogs either arriving in rescue or on their way probably in separate threads. To see their happy faces sometimes is a joy to behold.

Although it is a struggle to find spaces, more often than not we do, except for staffy's and their X's, in the present climate they are very hard to place as most rescues cannot take them due to the large numbers being abandoned. The boarding kennels we use is presently full with the poor dogs all looking for that special place. Finding spaces is difficult, but only the start we then have to get them to their destinations so that a new forever home can be found.

  3. I can't find Francess St on my map. Have been going cross-eyed trying to find it. I realise the dog may no longer be there but thought I could maybe start there. I still can't see the link. Must be my pc. Is there a search party out today? Maybe I'm not needed anyway.

It's actually Francis St. Am taking dogs out now so will go in that direction.

  4. Wow Heather what good news. When Scampi, after he had similar problems and wagged his tail for the first time in 3 weks I actuallt screamed at the top of my voice with pleasure. So WTG King hope the improvement continues.

  5. :GroupHug: I am sorry that the steroids didn't seem to suit King. To counteract these possible side effects with Scampi my vet also prescribed Tagamet which soothes the stomach lining so he had no problems when taking prednisolone which was prescribed for over 3 weeks. Everything X'd for both you and King.
  6. Thinking of you and King. My Scampi damaged a disc at Easter and we thought we were going to lose him, though it was lower down his spine, his tail was paralysed and he was in a lot of pain. After several weeks on treatment with steroids he is almost back to his old self with waggy tail and a happy smile. Off the steroids and back on his metacam, so I do hope the same treatment works for King. Everything X'd I really know how you must be feeling. :GroupHug: .

  7. How could you bear to leave her Bernie, she would have got lost somewhere in my car enroute, I'm sure Merlin would have loved to meet he r

Well I've got my beady eyes on Gem, Gem and little Sir Percy so I couldn't manage all 3 babes. My pockets would be too full. Sadly I get a thorough search each time I leave there, but I live in hope. :biglaugh:

  8. Well she is bootiful and travelled so well for one so young, only squealed when I left her in her crate while we settled Colin. When I left she was having an absolute whale of a time playing chase with Sir Percy, and the kitten I think was jealous. Here's my photo of her on arrival sitting on Aunty Sarah's knee.

I mustn't forget the lovely but shy Colin either.

  9. Lassie has a new name...

She is now called Clarice, or Lady Clarice - and she is currently being escorted around the garden by The Brigadier.

Brigadier you old devil. I saw that twinkle in your eye the first time you met and she certainly didn't seem to mind.:biglove: We'll have to have a little chat when I visit next week.
