  1. I've recently bought a pair and yes they are comfortable, wish I'd got them sooner. Even if they do maybe look ugly no one should laugh because they have possibly got some themselves. My O/H has also just got a pair for pottering about in.

Edited because just seen your last question re size

Yes we both went down a size as they are larger than our normal shoe size.

  2. Well Good Morning Paul and welcome :wavey: to t'other very friendly site. Will be seeing you later today with Jules. Can't believe it's so long since I brought Willow up to meet you, time just flies by.

  3. My Scampi who is now 14 years old has quite a bit of plaque on some of his teeth, just wondering if anyone has tried this with their dogs and did it help? I do clean them on a regular basis but plaque is beginning to build up. I could take him to vet for a dental, but at 14 years old and not in the best of health I don't want to risk anaesthetic if possible.

  4. Scampi, for putting his trust in me the day we picked him up from the canal bank even though he was scared of his own shadow and all other humans. He still clings to me 13 years on. :wub_anim:

Dylan mainly for his cheeky and norty ways, the way he squeals when he wants something, starting off almost inaudibly, then rising in pitch till I succumb. He is a good human trainer.

  5. Unfortunately, there was another potential puppy napping incident today - involving Grandma Squirrel herself!

On frisking on the way out (normal Wiccaweys security procedure for all Sqwirrrelly visitors

    called Mark

) she was found to have the below shoved up her jumper!!

Thankfully Lily St Bernard leapt to the rescue and slimed Grandma Squirrel into submission and Ickle Belle was able to make her escape.

 You really have to watch those Squiggs don't you? Well done Lily for coming to Belle's aid.

  6. Aww Thank you so much for the update and piccies. She is rather gorgeous isn't she. I'm so glad she is now 'at home' A big thank you from me too to Vets who decided she shouldn't be PTS and persuaded the owners to sign her over, to oldies club, Ange and big :GroupHug: to Sarah for alerting me to her predicament so I could have the pleasure of bringing her to Wiccaweys and to Grandma Squirrel for taking the little poppet under her wing. :flowers: She was such a good girl in the car despite the fact I had first to go to Leicester then on to Wiccaweys, and the blanket she had for her comfort remained dry, so no incontinence for the 4 hour journey.

  7. Anyone want a 14 year old pis* taking mutt???? :glare:

No thanks I've already got one  Scampi will take absloutely ages to come back sometimes even though I call him till I'm blue in the face, he doesn't always hear me when I come home anymore till I'm well indoors, but rattle his treat jar or go into fridge and he's first in the queue.

  8. Funny you should ask that. I have one that flowered last year. Once that died I cut the stem right down, waited till leaves died back, cut those down and put the pot outside and just ignored it. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that it had started to sprout again, so brought it in, watered and fed it and lo and behold it is flowering again, but only 1 stem so far and the leaves are beginning to grow slowly.

  9. How dare you laugh at my photographic skills, your just :jealous: :laughingsmiley: I didn't realise either till people commented on his fag and mohican and I took, studied, resized and uploaded the picture. He is a lovely wriggly poopie though at just under a year old.

  10. Got this bog standard reply, which several people appear to have.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the 15 March episode of 'Casualty'.

We are sorry that you didnt enjoy the storyline which featured a dog.

The breed of dog used in this episode wasnt a Staffordshire bull terrier, it was an American bulldog. We accept and understand that the vast majority of bull breeds behave perfectly well.

However, there have been well documented instances of this breed of dog attacking people, causing serious injury and in the worst cases, death. These instances have been linked to dogs bred to fight illegally and this programme featured just such a dog and highlighted the consequences of this practice.

We had no intention to vilify all dogs and firmly believe that this programme didnt convey that impression.

However, we do acknowledge your concerns and would like to assure you that we have registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.

    Regards
