  1. Keep meaning to say I've now known Martyn for 10 years. We met 17th May 1998. Wasn't supposed to be a date. We went to Donington Park to watch the racing and hit it off.

Congratulations. I hope I fall in love again one day .....

Watched my son play football this morning and he scored a hat trick so he got the 'man of the match' trophy .... me is a proud mummy :)

hope weather stays fine tomorrow, my sister is visiting from London and are we are taking the children to Gullivers Land for the day

  2. its great, if I am feeling fed up and stressed I just need to catch up on a day of listings here and you can guarantee I will be laughing by the end of it

    thanks

Michelle: when I had that, I had to go to doctors for something because over the counter medication didn't help me

even tried natural yoghurt, but couldn't cope with the mess and the relief wasn't long enough

I really need to go to Tesco but so can't be arsed

  3. Random Gross Fact.

I occasionally suffer from athletes foot and recently had it again. I tried Lamisil, Daktarin, Scholl foot powder etc and nothing worked. The sores were between the smallest toes on my right foot and were itching like crazy, pus filled and generallly scaberific. The itching almost drove me insane at night.

Anywayyyyyyyyy, I was visiting a mate and was wearing flip floppy things. Their dog homed in on my manky foot and started licking it and bloody hell it felt great [in a very none roody way] so I let him carry on :blush02: , he was really gentle and gave the area a good wash. It only hurt when he nibbled the scabby bits  I didnt wash his slobber off even though I knew he licked his own arse, thats how disgusting I am.

That night I had minor itching but since then not on single itch, the whole area has healed up completely!!! [it NEVER does that usually, it take weeks to get it sorted]

ah wow, the special pooch has magic healing slobber .... glad its cleared up :flowers:

  4. my ex husband bought our daughter some

and I won't let her wear them when she is out with me

she keeps saying she is taking them on holiday with us in August .... might forget to pack them actually !!

  5. Mollydog has not had a good morning. First she had the runs at 4:30 am, and even though it was pouring she had to go out in the garden for ages and got very wet.

Then she had the runs again on our walk, and kept looking at her bottom with a funny face, in the manner of a dog saying "why is it still pooing? Make it stop!'

Then she put her head in the wrong place to do some Important Sniffing, and Az wee'd all over her face.

Then I made her stand in the river while I washed her head in a humiliating manner.

Then when we came home an Evil Bungle Cat fell off the stairs and almost hit her.

She has now gone back to bed in a very decided manner.

oh bless her, poor Mollydog, hope she feels better when she rises from her bed again :GroupHug:

  6. I taped a prog the other night called Half Ton Dad and have just watched it this morning.

I was horrified to see, the daughter of this extremely overweight guy, feeding her 4 month old daughter a hamburger and chips !!

Talk about ignorance. Does she not realise that her Dad was excessively overweight due to his poor diet ... and here she is admitting that she eats loads of rubbish and is feeding her daughter it too !!

Anyone else watching Midnight Man on ITV1? I am gripped.

Right off to persuade Lady its ok for us to go out in the rain and get wet !! Think I better dig out her wax jacket :)

  7. One of the girls I teach has set fire to herself and tried to jump off the multistorey, I am absolutely heart broken.

oh no thats awful :GroupHug: hope she is going to be ok

Thanks guys :flowers: This fella has been at the Barn for 2 months with no interest and it's sorting of feeling like it's meant to be but we're still hurting over Bear  It's going to be a few weeks till we can meet him anyway thanks to the car scenario, but Fi knows we're "sort of" interested so we'll see what happens. Flora is so missing having a big brother around though :(

Bear would be touched to see his Mummy help out another homeless doggie.

Hope you get to meet the gorgeous fella soon and offer him a home :GroupHug:

I've just had another alarming incident with Issie. My dogs are going to have me in an early grave. Was in the garden. She was barking at me to go chase her. I was about to when Bracken distracted me. I turned around to start playing with her again and she was stood funny. I went up to her and her head was up while I was talking to her and her eyes were rolling to the back of her head. Up and down then they both went white but kept rolling a bit up and down. Was awful as obviously she couldn't see. I kept talking to her and kept her calm soothing her wondering what the hell was the matter and suddenly her eyes came back to normal. I'm keeping her quiet and keeping a close eye on her. Very relieved she didn't panic this time and now appears her normal jolly self. I assume this is another vestibular attack? Have never seen this happen to a dog before. Am so glad I was there when it happened. I don't think it can be because of too much sun and just seems too coincidental seeing as she had a vestibular episode last June. Scared the beejeezus out of me but I kept calm infront of her.

Aww poor Issie. Hope she is ok :GroupHug:

    I am very pleased.

Argos finally got the cheap garden set in I wanted so have been to buy it.

Although the weather has now turned lousy, but I thought I best purchase now before they sold out.

Nice chap serving in Argos .... rather tasty, which made my day
