  1. Hello

I have just had a lovely chat with the chap at the fish and chip shop in Chipping Norton, its called Moveable Feast.

They will deliver fish and chips to the campsite for a charge of £8.

Obviously he asked if we can try and be organised and club together with our order because they can't keep driving back and forth, as they are 8 miles away and there is only himself and one other in the shop.

They delivered an order last weekend of about 20 x fish and chips, and 20 x sausage & chips.

The simpler the order the better.

So anyway, I am definitely up for ordering this for our tea, as after arriving and battling with my tent etc etc, it will be nice to relax and have dinner made for us :)

So guess if those of you who fancy this option, if we can get together and place the order as a whole that would be fab.

    I hope to arrive by 5.30pm !!

    See you all tomorrow x

  2. we are all so excited :partytime:

Weathermen keep changing their minds about the forecast ..... its now going to rain tomorrow, but dry Saturday and rain Sunday !!

Will be arriving about 5.30pm tomorrow and can't wait to meet you all.

Cindy: Bradley and Hannah are particularly excited about meeting you .... I guess its because they know we have chatted on the phone and they call you 'Big Boss of the Oldies Club'

I am borrowing a double blow up bed from my ex but it has to be inflated using electricity, and takes about a minute.

Am I right in recalling there is electricity supply to the pitches? or is that wishful thinking

I haven't done any packing .... am going to be up late tonight get it all sorted

    See you all soon x

  3. Hi

Can someone please be kind enough to let me know what food and drink I should be bringing along for the weekend, for our 'big bar-b-q' and 'cocktail' gathering on Saturday night.

I am a newbie so not sure what is normally organised?

And do I need to bring along a throw away bar-b ?

    Thanks :)

  4. The facilities for the children sound fab - wonder if I can "borrow" somebody's to check them out.

You can 'borrow' mine as much as you like

We are arriving Friday evening .... hope to be there by 5.30pm, traffic permitting.

Can't wait. Kids are excited too.

I am going to ring up and order the croissants for the Saturday morning!!

    Room for another

  5. ooooo its getting closer! caravan all emptied, cleaned and repacked . The grandkids are sooo looking forward to this. Are there any younger kids going? My two are 7 and 10 (well nearly) and want to know if there will be anyone to play with. Not sure how Tilli is going to behave either, she is a yapper altho hopefully she will follow Ebbi and Kizzy's example coz they are old hands at this caravanning lark and just take it in their stride.I am keeping my fingers crossed for nice weather,it rained on both of the last two camping meets but we still had fun tho.x

I have an 8 yr old son and 11 yr old tom boy daughter and a grumpy 13 yr old girlie!!!!

and I am bringing my 8yr old son, and 6yr old daughter

so plenty of younger children to play with :)

  6. Ummm make that 100 cups

Natalie you're very welcome to the chair - and don't buy a rubber mallet,I have one I can bring and you can share with Cycas

    Thank you.

Think I need to start making a list of what not to forget.

Also, Cindy mentioned about us all taking some alcohol etc for cocktails :)

  7. Halfords sell rubber mallets for £1.50, the cheapest one I could find :)

ooh thanks, need to go over that way this week so will pop in and get one

I have a spare folding camping chair if anyone needs one - have also "appropriated" about 30 plastic cups from work so that should be enough for ooooh an hour. I can also bring a FirstAid kit if anyone thinks it a good idea?

I would love to borrow the chair please. I don't have a very big car so what with me, the 2 kids and Lady my space is going to be limited. Thank you

I shall get all the name badges printed off this week. Do a bit each day at work.

  8. the disposable barbecues are very good and quite cheap.

Remember to place it on stones or earth if you don't want to set the grass alight - I do speak from experience.

    lol

I did one once and put it high up so the dogs couldn't get to it, stupidly I put it on the rabbit hutch forgetting the heat also goes through the bottom of the tray ..... turned out to be the most expensive bar-b-q ever cause I had to go out and buy a new rabbit hutch .... doh !!

Can't believe how quickly its coming round.

Am working on the name tags ....

I have just bought the 'screwer in the ground' thing from Pets at Home so that Lady can have some freedom without legging it. It was only £3.99 for anyone who is looking to get one.

Still need to buy a mallet though !

Saying lots of prayers that we have the fine weather we have now at the end of June x
