  1. I would be very gratefull for all the non-cancer type thoughts you can spare for Suka for tomorrow. 3 weeks ago I discoverd a wart-like spot just below right eye. I took her to the vet straight away, as although it wasn't bothering her at all, I just didn't like the look of it. My vet thought it could be one of two things, a benign histiocytoma(Sp) or a malignant mast cell tumour. We treated it initally as a histiocytoma, but after 2 weeks of antibiotics and steroid cream there has been no change - which there should have been if it was a 'histio'. Not being able to take the chance of leaving it any longer, Suka is going in to have it removed. I have been warned that there could be complications being so close to her eye. I know others (Wendy and Barb) will also be going though a tough time tomorrow but I would be really grateful if you could spare a thought or two for my girl. If it is a mast cell tumour it just seems a little unfair that both my dogs have Cancer.
  2. Will be thinking of you and Holly on Monday Barb. Try not to worry toooo much.
  3. Oh Wendy! My thoughts and prayers will be with you and Dolly on Monday
  4. My heart is breaking for you Wendy. Wish I could say more. But I know words are not enough. You are all in my thoughts
  5. Wendy, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Night-Night Frodo. Run fast and free at the Bridge little one knowing you were loved more than words can say. You will be missed every day until the time comes when you will all meet again.
  6. Not been posted much lately, but I have been popping in trying to follow everyones news (good bad and sad ) I'm just about to take Bruno through to the vets for his 6 week scan and bloods. For some reason, I'm a bit anxious about tonights visit and I'm not sure why.
  7. Brilliant news Billy. Fan-blood-tastic in fact

    So Sad

Oh Yena! I am so sorry. Sleep tight Milly
  9. Am sorry to hear about your torn ligaments. Unfortunately ligaments and tendons have a very poor blood supply and unlike bone (which has a good blood supply and heals in approx 6 weeks), heal very slowley. They can take anything from 3 or 6 months and longer in some cases to heal. I would definately try and see a physio who could perhaps use ultrasound on them. Ultrasound therapy is extremely good for promoting healing in both tendons and ligaments.
  10. This tiny article from this mornings Metro has restored my faith in human nature (a bit) Hope the link works http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?i...p;in_page_id=34
  11. I fink I is going down with the lurgie. I was fine this morning. Took the dogs out for 3 hours. Starting getting a sore throat about 3 o'clock. I now feel very grog indeed. I ache all over. Have a headache, am shivery and it hurts my eyeballs when I move them. I am off to my bed. Night Night.
  12. Just got back from vets. Lyndon is very, very pleased with Bruno. He looks and appears perfectly fit and healthy, you would never know he had cancer. Even we forget sometimes Back in 6 weeks for full blood works and further ultrasound scan so fingers crossed there will be no further change. Even though I feel we should be doing more (if that makes sense), at the moment there is nothing more we can do.
  13. Morning. Billy - Hope everything goes ok for Mal today Jules - I'm sure your event will go well. RMF. Bruno has a vets appointment this evening. I think its just a check up. Most probably have full blood screening and then depending on that, decide the next three months course of treatment.
  14. Happy Birthday Wendy. I do so hope you get the only 'gift' that you want from your vet
  15. Hello Have'nt been around much. Been far toooo busy what with one thing and another. Did anyone miss me There is no chance of me catching up on everything (although I have been popping in and lurking around a bit ) Take care of yourself Laura I agree with ReikiAnge, I think you are going to have to report this to the head. RMF Bruno and Suka are now fully recovered from a very nasty gastro bug. Shame my beige living room carpet hasn't
  16. Bruno has EPI. We tried him on loads of different low fat processed foods, all of which just continued to go straight through him - even with his synthetic enzymes. He is now fed 'Nature Diet' Lamb and Rice. He is on Tryplase, Pancrex Powder and Probiotic with every meal, about £400 a month as he needs loads of enzymes. Apparently his pancreas is the size of a worm He also has Vit B12 injections approx every 3 months. He is fine 95% of the time - but every now and again will just have a couple of days of 'cow pat poos'. We make Liver Cake for his 'training treats' and order Fish4Dogs as special treats. He still has the occasional ice cream or naughty treat. You just have to be prepared for the consequences. Be prepared for Josh (and your house) to start smelling of Tom-Cats-Pee, cause thats what the enzymes do
  17. I find that Natures Menu is too rich for my two and gives them the squits. I feed Nature Diet and have had no problems. I order in bulk once a month direct from Nature Diet so it works out a lot cheaper.
  18. Go on. Open another bottle. You know you want to
  19. Happy birthday Marion. Hope you had a wonderful day
  20. Pizzling down here! I got up early and have made Liver Cake Happiness is - licking the liver cake bowl clean.
  21. I have just removed a tick from Bruno's right eyebrow. I used my new tick remover wot I got from the vets. It came out really easily, head in tact and its little legs still wrigling. I squashed it anyway (not very Bhuddist of me) as I hates the little criters and they make make skin crawl.
  22. What a handsome boy he is He, erm, looks rather settled already doesn't he I really hope every thing works out for you and Fish - at the moment he doesn't look as if he's going anywhere!
