  1. The cockerels now have a home! yes, it is possible.... Thank you to everyone here. Alice
  2. Hi The cockerels still need a home. Please let me know if you know someone who could have a bantam cockerel in their chicken family! Alice please email me [email protected] for photos
  3. Hi Cheryl, Any news of the inlawas and whether they may consider bantam cockerel(s)? Alice I have pics but cant upload them.... The baby cockerels are pretty - black and white, also v healthy [email protected]
  4. Thank you so much for the reply. The home sounds very heavenly! Most definitely this is the type of home my baby boys dream of at night- esp the multiple ladies part. There could be an issue with the youngster(s) being bullied a bit too much initially by the mature hens.....they will be both young and small due to being bantams...... Where abouts are OH's parents...wat do they think? Would love to hear from you again.Alice
  5. Near Dorking, Surrey - will travel to get my boys good homes! Have you ever thought of keeping a cockerel with your hens? I really recommend it. Some neighbours (mine, for example) even like the rural sound of c*** a doodles at dawn. Other owners bring their cockerel inside at night in a cat basket so as not to disturb neighbours. I enjoy keeping a few cockerels but cannot keep them all as sadly, they will fight. In the right ratio, they are a delight -good fun and very charming with their hens. They will give you hours of happy antics to watch. Please let me know if you can offer a good home to a baby (black and white) mottled pekin cockerel. Thank you I haven't worked out how to post pctures yet, but can email them to you by return. Also available are pics of mum and dad........ Alice [email protected]
  6. This little bantam has now been rehomed. Thank you Alice
  7. An adorable little blue (I thought) pekin bantam cockerel needs a home soon. However he is developing colouring like a gold birchen atthe moment. He will be stunning when fully grown. I can't keep too many cockerels, so he needs to move to his very own hareem. Pekins are small chickens who are friendly and full of character. He would mix with any other bantam breed hens. I have only known lovely cockerels in this breed. He is beginning to cockadoodle, and short of bringing him indoors, boxed, (in a cloakroom perhaps) at night time, he will be heard in the mornings. I have only recently met a lady who has 3 cockerels in a terraced house garden in London. NOT all Neighbours object to (one or three!!) )cockerels. It could be worth asking...... This lady gives free range eggs to the only one slightly cranky neighbour. I hope you will consider maiking your hens very happy indeed. He's not up to all the tasks of head of the family yet, but soon will be.... He is now 10 weeks old. I have two other cockerels which may be homed already - blue and balck mottled Alice [email protected] (for bigger oic or query)
