  1. LULU is a lovely relaxed 4 year old Greyhound and is very playful and friendly and she gets on great with other Sighthounds but would not be safe with smaller dogs or cats. She is very clean in her kennels and her owner gave her the height of praise and he would like to see her get a nice home. She will be Spayed and is Vaccinated and Microchipped!
  2. BRACKEN is a lovely Greyhound aged 2 years and is a lovely colour of brindle and he gets on well with other Greys but does not understand how to react to smaller dogs and is not suitable where there are cats. He is very clean in her kennel and good on the lead as well. He will be Spayed and is Vaccinated and Microchipped!
  3. Mitch has been re-united with owners
  4. MURPHY is still avaible for adoption as his Home Check never got done and the lady got sorted with another dog.
  5. Sadly the fines here in Ireland are very small for Cruelty until the laws are changed but this was a good result, he could have walked away with a fine of a few hundred and a slap on the back of the hand which has happened in the past to me often, so I delighted I had a lovely Female Guard AND 2 Handsome Dept Vets I does like my handsome Men on my Outings trucking through muddy fields in the wind and rain! .............. Oh the joys of animal rescue Hard Hearted Hannah always tries to see the funny side of the serious end of it as usual Keeps me sane in a weird way!
  6. Cottage Rescue was successful in Court today with a Cruelty Case! Farmer was fined €2,600. 7 Cattle died from starvation and 1 weanling was Put Down.

  10. MURPHY is a lovely Lurcher and he is 8-10 months old, he is a lovely friendly boy, great with other dogs and Cat Tolerant so he can be trained to them without a problem. He is good and clean in his kennel, adores attention and loves to be petted and gets on great with other dogs and he loves children He is a very hard dog to get a nice pic of and is way more beautiful than you can see here. He will be Neutered, Vaccinated and Microchipped before he goes to his new home.

  12. I would like to thank everybody who Voted for Cottage Rescue last month (November) as Rescue of the month! Thank you to everybody who donated money to us and for the work we do The Total Raised was £134.00 ........... €188.93 and this money went towards buying much needed coat for the dogs here in the Rescue from TRPD Site. Thank you all for the support, Hannah
  13. They breed them wild here in Tipperary
  14. Only saw this now Stevie. Well done to you and your fantastic fosters for the care given to Kirana When I got in the poor puppy I was not sure what breed was in her, I said more than likely a bit of Shep maybe crossed with a Lurcher and it was not until she grew some hair that she looked very Shep like. I know it is her Stevie on account of her ears, they have that funny shape and spring out to them. This is not the first puppy in bad condition that Stevie has taken from me when ready and well enough to travel and that is what I love about her, she takes on the cuties, the not so cuties and the sad little ones like Kirana, the ones that cost her money and time. So hands up for Stevie and her people Well done Woman and as Trallwm farm said this is what Rescue is all about
  15. Ye are a bad lot............Look at ye get up to when I am not paying attention
  16. Just wondering how different the UK is to Ireland I man the phone as nobody else likes it, they try it out and hey presto back it comes.... PRONTO People ringing would drive you crazy You have the queries on the animals in the rescue for rehoming... You have Joe Soap wanting to get rid of his animal for silly reasons and genuine reasons... You have the queries on Neutering.... You have the people that find an animal and want you to take it.... You have the people that lost their animal.... You have the Cruelty Reports.... You have general queries... You have nice people... You have NASTY people... You have some very silly people... Yes the phone would drive anybody insane And people wonder why I am crabby at times You have a few bad days and then out of the blue somebody contacts you or does something nice and you see light at the end of the tunnel again I went away a short while ago for a holiday and believe it or not the phone was back at the house the night before I was Thanks for reading, I needed a RANT and feel better now
  17. I am so sorry to hear this, In my line of work in Rescue it kills me when a Horse has to be PTS.... It seems to be so much harder on our hearts when the animal is so big. That was a great age and a great credit to you. Run free Strawberry you are free of pain now and you can out run all those younger than you. to you Sheila.
  18. Sara, I have two surrender forms... Owner Surrender Form Stray Surrender Form I write down the dogs details and the peoples details and before I give it to them to sign I ask them will I put anything down for a donation and it works nearly every time And what I find is that the people who find a stray dog give more than an owner will But then again it is not often that I take in a dog that is owned by somebody.... But YES they are the ones who should give a very heafty donation.
  19. I will tell you one thing people about this thread heading My heart skips a beat everytime I see it

  21. Kelly that is a lovely thought and thank you so very much and I am sure Conan will say a BIG thank you as well
  22. Yes Kelly as I am two coats short at the moment, but I am righting this as we speak But dont worry they all have their red lamps top keep warm but I do like the thin and sickly ones to have coats as well, it is amazing how well they come on when they are snug as bugs in rugs, I just seem to have more sighthounds than normal lately and then you get the odd ungrateful one that tends to rip their own coat as well as their partner ones
  23. I will say one thing that this thread has got quite a lot of views!! People will think that Sara and me are
