  1. Must admit I've just been debating whether to put Dukes light rug on today! Do they have a shelter out of interest? That's the only thing allowing them to be rugless still. Although they've actually been out of it the most so far this Summer since the weather turned pantific! On the plus side, the fields are nice and green still (trying to be positive  )

No very little shelter at this place, that's why I decided to put it on. It is only a light waterproof but still it's annoying to have to do it!! They do have some trees but they don't seem to go under them, Jayne said in the winter when it's cold and wet they use the tree's alot more. Yes I agree the grass is looking alot better, although Kane doesn't agree and still insists on trying to steal any bit of hay laying around!!!

  2. I can't see video's!! :mecry: You need to get the chief camera man working harder please!!! :D

I'm very jealous too, but extreamly proud of you both. I'll live my eventing dreams through you if that's okay? I can't wait til you are competing somewhere within driving distance of me..I'll come along with my cheerleader outfit!!

Can't believe the weather here!! Had to bring Kane in last night for over an hour to dry him off and sent him back out with a rug on....it's bloody August and he's rugged!!!! :( :(

  3. If you don't need back seats I can HIGHLY recommend a van!! I've only had mine a month and I've saved over £80 in fuel (compared to my old Renult) and its easy to drive!! Mine is only 4 years old and cost me £3k but I'm sure you'd get a cheaper one slighter older. I can't see I'll ever get another 'normal' car again, I'm completely in love with it!!!

  4. Awww, poor Kane! Do you think that he has something that is making his teeth/mouth hurt and that's why he kicked up a fuss?

No, the dentist managed to take a quick look and a couple of teeth were abit sharp but otherwise they didn't need much work!! He's the same to worm but I've learnt to put his feed in and then sneakily shove the wormer in his gob while he's otherwise engaged!!! I think it's just having something put in his mouth he doesn't like cos he's a dream to shoe and clip! I've been clicker training again and so far he's let me put a spoon (couldn't find anything else metal to try with!!) and an empty wormer tube without kicking off!! I saw my vet on friday and he's going to let me have some sedalin and then put someone on standby in case it doesn't work. I'm also going early and school him for an hour so he'll be on his knees!!

How did the dressage go Clare?

:GroupHug: Poor Obe that sounds traumatic.

  5. Yes I am. I wouldn't go and read other peoples mail or anything like that but I do find myself standing at the window and just watching, and I love nothing better than sitting in a cafe watching and listening to the world going by. The only good thing about working at the port is people watching.

The one thing I loved about living in London was walking home on dark nights and seeing into all the basement flat windows!!!

When I lived in the farm which was totally on it's own I did miss having something to nosy at out of the window, okay having views of the sea and rolling fields was lovely but I do now like having a real telly outside my front door!! (Not that anything exciting ever happens in my village...except there was once a rather rowdy party at the pub and I heard one neighbour shouting at them to be quiet...at 10pm!! ) The most drama we get is if the bell ringer forgets to do the 10am chimes on a sunday, there's up roar!!!

  6. Sweep has been missing now for over 3 weeks. She went after a hare on the old oil tank farm Rhosgoch, near Amlwch. She's around 4, spayed but not chipped.

There has been sighted in Llanfechell but we're not 100% sure that wasn't Sidney that was spotted as they are extreamly similar!!! Although sighting said dog was alone, wet and looking nervous...so as Sidney is never without me or the others it's likely it could of been her. That is around 5 miles from where she was lost.
