  1. A collegue just sent me this, I don't normally bother with silly emails but this one hit home.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy..

    Take naps.

    Stretch before rising.

    Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

    Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!

  2. I have to admit I don't want it not covered either. Of course I want a change in the breeding disgrace but I think Crufts is a very valuable event and should be celebrated and enjoyed. I don't 'do' showing personally but think the agility, flyball and various rescue work shown etc has huge benefit being seen on mainstream TV.

  3. Keep it up Reds!!! You are doing brilliantly! He's just enjoying himself...not sure I'd be jumping haybales though!! That's very brave!!!

Gooster you sound like me, Kane jumps beautifully but it's me that squeeks and gets scared so stops!!!

Had a fabulous hack last night, it was one of those where you don't intend on doing much but cos for once the weather was beautiful and he was really forward going and happy to be out, so we ended up doing a 2 hour hack round the lake. This is a MAJOR accomplishment as it's the furthest we've gone alone and he didn't nap once!! Had a peacock fly out at us and that just got a little jump sideways out of him, and had tractors etc and he wasn't bothered. Only time I thought I was going to have a problem was with a little JRT who decided he was going with us and followed us about a mile up the road...luckily just as I was about to turn round his owner came running up the lane!!! Once again I'm extreamly proud of my big fella.

  4. I think I'd like Lisa to win cos she just is a harmless person, and she does make me laugh! Although I do have a quid on Mo that could win me £50 so I'd love it if it was him!!! (Even though I don't like him). I do suspect it will be Rachel though!  As long as Kat and Darnell are out to boo's I'll be happy!

  5. I thought it was good because it was those 2, how gutted must Darnell have been!!! Rex surprised me by shouting to them to share it...you can bet your life he'd not have done the same!!!!

And what on earth was Rachel doing apologising to Kat about how she picked to be evicted???? That was most odd...Kat has alot of hold over some people in that house, I can't wait for the evictions and her smug ugly face to be rubbed right in it when she's evicted. Looking DS she certainly doesn't have the support the housemates think she has!!

  6. WOW!!! Rolo looks fab!!!!!!  Beautiful jump...think forget the dressage dreams and start him jumping!!!

Got a new horse on the yard, 8 years old brood mare just being backed in order to be sold....omg I've never really taken to a mare before but this girl is just gorgeous. Not my taste of horse at all, TB x Arab x Section D but such a sweet gentle nature. She shouts to everyone when they walk in the yard and gives the best cuddles...woman wants £1200 for her...I'd be sorely tempted if I didn't already have the big fella. I'll try and sneak a piccy tonight!

Hacked out last night, Kane was on a mission!!! Was like a steam train on the way out, although I've realised we are both very unfit. Cos I've been sticking to short hacks to get his confidence up we've lost alot of condition...trotted for 5 minutes and we were both on the floor!!!  Fitness schedule is in order me thinks!! :(

  7. Yay great news Jacky, where did you find it in the end?

Forgot to say I am going here xc schooling next weekend :elefant: A little bit scared about travelling him on the motorway but I am sure it will be fine

Fleabay! Just got the small matter of selling the other one to cover the cost now but hey we don't worry about little things like overdrafts!!!

You'll be fine on the motorway. :GroupHug: Good luck at XC thing, you are so brave!!

  8.  I have FINALLY found a XX wide saddle that isn't over £300!! Got new Thorowgood maxam for £160 inc postage! I'm so happy!! Not that I'll use it much but at least my jumping lesson's won't consist of me squeaking and giggling cos I keep nearly falling off my treeless saddle!!!

Will be lovely to have Frant home I bet. :GroupHug: I'd love to have my own land again, but that said I'd really really miss having access to an indoor school so I'm not moving anywhere til that lottery win finds me!!

Ohhh just noticed, I'm sure Kane would love to show Easta his favourite beaches (although she'd have to wait for him cos he's very slow compared to leggy ladies!! )

  9. I ordered some stuff from HERE a couple of weeks ago and it arrived at the weekend. The t-shirts are excellent and the other bits really good value!!! They've got some really unusual stuff and some nice quirky t-shirts.

I've just placed another order (Whoops!!) and they are offering free international postage if you spend over $50, with the rate still being good to the dollar it's worth a look. Added bonus is you are donating to rescues while you spend too!!!!

The code for free postage is INTL-GGLYER08 :flowers:

  10. Lovely to hear how well he's getting on. The new yard sounds perfect for him, funnily enough I think you've just explained Kane's sudden lack of 'nappiness' re hacking out alone too!! I'd never thought that being in a big group with lots of coming and going would help!

He has got such a kind face, he's really gorgeous I do have a huge soft spot for greys.
