  1. Clare those photo's are fab!!! You really are going on in leaps (literally!!!) I imagine it was the journey that's made him abit tucked up, he certainly doesn't look at all bothered by the days fun!!!

Jayne I did the Longendale trail years ago, absolutely brilliant place to ride!! You are lucky to have that near by!

Bronnie is stunning!!  We've got a new livery coming soon, she's got an ID x Halfinger (sp?)...apparently he's 16.3hh and 'built like a brick sh*t house!!! ' but gentle as a lamb...she's already offered a swap and she's a happy hacker too and has said she'll be pestering me to ride out with her!!

Had a lovely weekend, saturday was a quick schooling session as I was busy all day but sunday we'd arranged a hack (me and Laura one of the other girls have decided to try and stick to at least having a sunday hack together). Anyway went round a fab circuit which has 3 miles of grass tracks....needless to say Kane was on his knees by the time we got home..but he was still cantering to the last minute!! Her little section d is a pocket rocket and I'd told her to not wait for me on the canters cos Kane wouldn't keep up...how wrong was i!!!! First one he did keep well behind and seemed to be struggling...2nd one he went from walk to gallop and Laura had to kick Tess on to get out of our way!!! Then every time his feet touched grass he was trying to canter!!! Forgotten how much he loves proper hacking!! He's definately going to have to be clipped this winter, that should be fun!!

Managed to throw my shoulder out again though on sunday..not hacking, it was as I was leaving the yard I turned to say goodbye to someone and it popped out!!! So was off sick yesterday, although I still managed to ride!!  Had kind people open the gates to the big field for me and just had a quick plod round there, funny how he seems to know when he can be silly and when he needs to look after me.

  2. Did you stay clean at lunchtime Jacky? Hope the rain stops for your lesson :flowers:

  Forgot to say...had a phone call at 11 from Laura who was at the yard and asked did I want Kane in to dry off!! So I said yes please, then she rang back at 1 and said he'd been in, dried off, given some yummy hay, rugged up and now back out!!!  I loves her!!! It's fab having nice people to share a yard with, no doubt I'll repay the favour one day but it was a lovely thing to do.

Lesson will be indoor anyway (avoiding the drips though) and hopefully this time Kane will not try and jump the muddy patches again!!!  Having my 'back to basic's' jumping lesson...so I imagine it will be an hour of short stirrups and very very sore legs!!! :(

  3. For some reason WOO2 made me think 'woof'....might be abit odd that on a horse????  I'm useless at these things, can never figure out what peoples personalized numberplates are supposed to mean either!!! I am having KAN3 for Kane or K4NE if they allow it.

Personally I always thought I'd have Kane's on his shoulder, mainly because the saddle one means they can't be ridden for 2 weeks (I think) and a Kane not ridden for 2 weeks would mean a bit of a handful for mummy once able to ride again!!!  If she's not shown I agree I think shoulder is better for security reasons.

  4. NOOOOOOOOOO REX TO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he wins I get money and how could you deprive this poor sad rescue dogs the luxury items I'm sure to buy them if I do get the money??? :( :( :( :mecry: :mecry:

You seriously couldn't live with yourself...the guilt would tear you apart... :D

  5. Well most stallions are much cleaner than cut horses..they prefer to poop in one spot (not sure of the reason behind that though) so you might have some success with a stallion!

Arrgggg how much is it raining!!!! I've got a lesson tonight and didn't put Kane's rain rug on so I'm going to have to drive up to the stables at lunch and bring him in so he's dry for later...that should be fun...work clothes...knee deep mud...thug horse who loves nothing better than making me mucky!!!

  6.  Nope you are alone!!!

I know my dogs smells, and know if they don't smell like themselves (ie when Tiz needs her glands doing... ) but I can't say it's something I thought about when I got them!! Might explain why Cooper stayed out of all the other fosters..could be his stink co-ordinated with the others!!!
