They are really nice, a young Danish couple, and I will be going to visit and maybe making new friends, nice to speak Danish again too. News from the land of traffic chaos (Dubai): In the first 58 days of this year there where 51 deaths in road accidents. Scares you!!! The three days we had with wet weather saw an average of 600 accidents a day. There is a great story in todays paper about a UK driving instructor who has gone undercover in the driving scools over here, it would make for a great tv show, and is really funny, if it wasn't so bloody dangerous and every day life here. linky If you have a look then take a look at video as well. It's taking in a 40km zone, because of the road works, but that obviously doesn't matter, and what's a poxy speedbump on the road.... Oooh yeah and the rain, all 14 millimeters of it flooded houses streets and new mega shoppingmalls. The expensive communities where completely underwater and water leaking in everywhere in the villas. People couldn't get out for half the day, there was so much water in the streets! And I've started taking skiing lessons woohooo love it!

Nope RMF: It's been raining nearly all day, lovely Two days ago we had some light showers in the morning between 5 am and 9 am, in that periode of time 500 accidents where reported!!!!!! Hate to think what the number will be for today. If you ever complain about the traffic or driving at home, come to Dubai and you'll never complain again. If you just have your hazardlights on, in rain or fog (the sort where you can't see a meter in front of you), you can go the same speed as usual.....
