Due to a change in family circumstances brought about by illness and time constraints, it became impossible for her owner to properly exercise and care for her and give her the love and attention that she needed. She was therefore handed into the care of IRR. HOW TO HELP LUCY Lucy has now gone to her forever foster home but desperately needs a hip operation to get her out of the pain that she has probably been in for at least a year. As my computer is not working well at the moment, I am unable to post pictures of this beautiful girl but please visit the Irish Retriever Rescue website and see if you could help in some way. Luca Needs a Loving Home Luca is in foster with the Irish Retriever Rescue UK He is being fostered in Norfolk at the moment Luca is a 18 month old male Golden Retriever X. He is neutered, and crate trained and also housetrained. He is a very lively dog and gets on well with lively confident female dogs who love to play. We would suggest that Luca is only homed with children over the age of 12. Luca is a very affectionate dog, who just wants to be part of a lovely family, who will give him the firm but kind guidance that he needs. Could you be the family for him? I have started a new thread asking for a foster home for Jake as the situation has changed. He now needs a temporary foster home while the fosterers are on holiday. We just need somewhere for him for 10 days, from 10th May to 19th May. He doesn't like 'in your face' dogs but is fine with a calm female. No cats or small children, though. JAKE is 3-years-old and a retriever cross. He is neutered and micro-chipped. He is house trained. We would not re-home Jake with young children but he would cope happily with older children (12+). He loves the car and travels very happily. He is fine to be left but will bark for the first few minutes that you leave him. He then settles and can happily be left for up to four to five hours.
