  11. Well i thought it was a fantastic show and we really enjoyed it lucky did well he stayed with me and didn't wee in the ring which is good for him we had finished 3 of our classes by 10.30 but had to wait for the power and speed class in the afternoon but we didn't mind one bit as we watched other people run there dogs which was nice the venue was good with lots of space to walk the dogs inbetween runs Lucky did well in the power and speed in the power bit it was the weeves we had trouble with but in the speed went clear which ended the show on a high note the people who put this show on should be proud it was one of the best shows this year for us

  15. But have you seen there turn on the box surely this is where they can cut down on the time even the bigger dogs that where racing like the rotties had a wondeful turn on the box makes you sick really
  16. I have been talking to my vet and she has recommended advantix which i now is still a chemical but she has seen no side effects in any of the dogs that she has prescribed this for and says its different from frontline as it also repells ticks/fleas etc as well as kills them Lucky already has garlic in his food has been for over a year now and that doesn't work i also add the apple cider vinigar to his water everyday and have done this for about 6 months this seems to work for the fleas but not ticks i also do check him after every walk but i'm taking out 7 ticks at a time and they are causing lumps which my vet says can change into granulated cys so you have to be careful. Lucky has already had to have one of these removed and that was what caused him to become very ill. Oni my other dog doesn't seem to get them but i think they Like Lucky for some reason thanks for your suggestions though but i have gone with the advantix which was put on this morning and so far has cause no ill effects. with the frontline it was after about 2hrs that he was unwell

    Ticks

lucky is suffering really badly this year with ticks i have found 2 on his nose and 5 on his legs the thing is when ever i give him frontline it makes him ill for a few days and it doesn't seem to work anyway is there anything elce i can use. the other thing is that he has a low immune system and i don't like putting anything like chemicals on him but then on the other hand what ever the ticks have been latched onto could cause Lucky to be very ill so at the moment i'm damed if i do and damed if i don't please help wise refuges

  25. My problem is that when i walk both dogs together i let them of one at a time as there recall is better that way but when Luckys of and Oni is back on the lead she lunges and pulls back then charges at 100mph to get to him not in an aggresive way but she has broken a harness doing this it also hurts my back and shoulders when lucky is back on his lead she calms down and walks to heel. i have tried walking her in a dogmatic head collar but she gets so wound up that she can breath properly because she continuly pulls and lunges well rears like a pony and twists i have also tried her in a harness which she is better in but still a nightmare i have tried other face things but because she has a small but long muzzle they rub also when she's of and luckys on lead she will run up to him and trys to get him to play and as hes on lead he knows he's not allowed to so doesn't this fustrates her and then she runs at him full pelt and nearly has him over and me at the same time if she does this i have been turning my back on her but shes so quick that she just changes direction any advice on these problems would be good please
