Ollie is a 2 year old Jack Russell who came to us for rehoming because he was being left on his own too much. He is very playful and may nip if he gets too excited and for this reason he needs a home without young children. He can be possessive and needs someone with experience of terriers. He likes to play with toys, walks well on a lead and his recall is not too bad. He knows basic commands but can be a bit stubborn. He is house trained, travels well in the cars and is good with other dogs out and about but would prefer to be the only dog or may be OK with another dog if it is easy going and happy to let him have his way. Reuben is a really nice boy who is too energetic for his current owner. He needs someone who is able to give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He would be too boisterous for young children. He has done some agility and it would be good for his new owners to continue with this. He is good with other dogs and has lived with cats. He knows basic commands and is house trained. He is used to the company of other dogs and would be good in a home with another energetic dog. Champ is an affectionate pup who came in with Bonnie. She bosses him around but he is bolder in new situations. He is good with other dogs and although he doesn’t manage to go through the night he is clean during the day with access to the outside. He would be better with another dog for company as this is what he is used to. He travels well and is used to walking on a lead. Bonnie is a timid but affectionate Jack Russell pup. She loves cuddles but needs a gentle introduction to the big wide world. She is good with other dogs and although she doesn’t manage to go through the night she is clean during the day with access to the outside. She will need another dog for company and as she is too young to be spayed she cannot be homed with an unneutered male. Bonnie travels well and is used to walking on a lead. Charlie is a very handsome German shepherd cross who came to us because his owner died. He is wary of strangers and will bark to warn them off but we are working to overcome his fears. He is very affectionate once he knows you and will make someone a devoted companion. He is house trained, obedient, travels well and has a good recall. He does pull on a lead but with work this could be overcome. He is very wary of other dogs and does not seem to have been socialised well. He needs a home without young children or other pets. Harley is a typically boisterous 5-year-old Flat Coat Retriever who is lovely with people but far too enthusiastic for young children. His training needs some work but he is very good on a lead and his attention can be held when he is off a lead by playing ball. He needs someone who can give him plenty of stimulation and provide firm and calm handling. He would be fine with female dogs but not another male dog. He travels well and is house trained. Bob is a lovely 2-year-old collie who is a failed working dog. He is quite timid but extremely attentive and quick to learn so would not be difficult to train. He has not lived in a house so his house training would need work and he needs socializing but he is good with children and has lived with cats. He is good with other dogs and with livestock, comes to call and his lead work is improving. He will make someone a wonderful companion and would benefit from the company of another confident dog. Meg is a lovely 2-year-old collie who is a failed working dog. She is quite nervous but very attentive and quick to learn so would not be difficult to train. She has not lived in a house so her house training would need work and she needs socializing but is good with children and has lived with cats. She is good with livestock, comes to call and her lead work is improving. She will make someone a wonderful companion and may benefit from the company of another confident dog, although she can be dominant. Basil is a very affectionate Chihuahua who was handed over to the dog wardens as a stray. He is house trained, OK with cats and good with other dogs once he gets to know them. He did make a fuss at first when left alone with the other dogs but he is getting better. He is OK with livestock, good to walk on a lead and happy to go in the car. He did have to have a lot of teeth removed because they were so bad but this has not affected him and he can manage dried food. We feel he would be best in a home with another dog.
