Annie is a Welsh foxhound who was found as a stray and has the most adorable way of looking at you with big sad eyes. She likes peace and quiet and does not like being shut in. She is good with other dogs, and very laid back but has no concept of commands at all. She is good on a lead but her recall is non-existent. She would make a lovely gentle companion for someone with patience and willing to give her enormous amounts of exercise. She travels well and is clean in the kennel. Rocky is a lively, young lab cross who is boisterous but very affectionate. He walks reasonably well on a lead, but his recall needs work, and he would benefit from socialisation with other dogs, although he is attending dog-training classes to overcome this. He travels well, is clean in his kennel and is good with children although he would be too boisterous for toddlers. He likes to play with toys but can be a bit destructive if left on his own. Rocky would be better with someone who could be home a lot as he loves human company, and would settle with a dominant dog who would put him in his place. Jimmy is a 3½-year-old Whippet who is a really friendly boy. He walks well on a lead, has very good recall, and knows some basic commands. He gets on with other dogs and has lived with a female Jack Russell in kennels. He would not be good with cats, and would probably be better in a quieter home, with no small children. Sakima is a stunning 1-year-old German shepherd being re-homed through no fault of his own. He is a big baby and scared of his own shadow and loves a cuddle. He is good with children and other dogs and wants to play all the time. He knows the basic commands and is house trained except for the odd accident. He does pull on a lead but has a good recall when off the lead. We will be looking for a home experienced with large dogs. Badger is a male long legged Jack Russell who is approx 3 years old. He is good with other dogs, house trained and has a good recall. He likes a lot of affection and was an only dog with his previous owner. Although he has lived with a cat before he will chase them but shows no interest in livestock. He is also fine in the car. Callie is a young Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is very loving and affectionate. She is good with other dogs but does not like being left alone, so needs to be in a home with another dog. She loves cuddles and is good on the lead, although a little adventurous off lead and can be selectively deaf. She is a very trusting girl, and is unaware of life’s dangers sometimes, so would need introducing to unknown things. Bella is an 11 year old (approx.) GSD x lab bitch whose favourite thing in life is people. She loves having a brush or a fuss but she is quite content to lie down and sleep all day. She has proven herself to be friendly to other dogs regardless of their size. Bella has also met children and seems to be fine with them, but she would prefer to go to a quieter home. She is fine out on walks, but due to hearing problems, she doesn't always come back straight away! Bella has daily medication for a thyroid condition, which is under control with these tablets. Also, like most large dogs her age, she has some arthritis in her back legs, but has painkillers daily to ease the pain. Red is a young collie that came to us because he wont work sheep. He is a very friendly boy, who loves people and gets on well with other dogs. He knows basic commands and will be quick to learn new ones, and would do well at agility or obedience classes. He has good recall, but has lived out some of the time, and is about 90% house-trained. Red travels well and is not destructive when left alone.
