thank you yes please owl it seems that the little bird was a bit disorientated and weak because being in the conservatory had not only dehydrated him but had also meant that his mum and dad hadnt fed him either a bit of grub (literally lol) and a rest and off he flew albeit still a little low saw them all today though up in a tree

HELP IM HAVING A DILEMMA have posted this in other animal chat but can anyone on here help i came home today to find a baby bird in my conservatory its a thrush and appears to have left the nest a few days too earlyit can only do low level flying and its tail feathers dont look very long, it semi flew into the garden and under the shed and its parents have been to feed it, however it then decided on a walk round the garden (not a good move with our dogs and the cat which was looming on the top of our shed with her mates at the time) so i had to catch it, it is now in a spare hutch in the garden i have cut the mesh slightly in the hope that its parents will continue to feed it, and they have tried to but are a little spooked by the cats, i have now caught our cat and brought her in and threatened her mates with the hose pipe and sent them home but what do i do now, what do i feed it if its parents dont how much and how often, and is it able to help itself to the water i have put out for it, it is still at the open mouth drop something in it stage so do i have to do that or can it pick up its own, i am in a complete flap (pardon the pun ) I DONT DO BIRDS HELP
