  1. Fiona I'm sure Sham will bark at every passing thing and get Storm worked up again.

It's the other way round at the moment with having Zak here waiting for a new home. He barks if you trump and then that gets Sham barking. Think yourself lucky Zak won't be with us, typical terrier (not at the moment anyway).

Can't wait to see you all again, especially Robert of course, our little man  . And Akira can meet Sham for the first time too. Mind you after meeting Storm she barks at Alfie every time now on the heath. Should be fun, but we'll cope like we always do. :biggrin

Sham the day she arrived, she looked so depressed, I hope we've made her happier.

Can't wait to see you all again, hope Robert hasn't got a yellow car.

  2. 1st Gotcha Day Sham

Can't believe it's a year tomorrow since you came into our lives. We love you to bits and you make us laugh so much with your antics and expressions (although you can be naughty at times  ). Ruby and Rosie love you too of course.

We're taking you on your second holiday to Scotland in four weeks and we hope you enjoy it as much as your first. :flowers:

    What a stunner

  3. RMF

Sham actually initiated play with Ruby up the wood yesterday for the first time  (Ruby was having a roll over at the time and just got up and went wandering).

    RMF

Rosie then tried to play with Sham but she wasn't having any of it.

And it's freezing here too

  4. My little darling Rosie is at the vets tomorrow for her anal glands removed. She's had several abcesses and it was decided she'd be better off having them removed. :(

It's been one thing after another doggie health wise in our house the past few months. Her ear infection is also back but I've got that under control, she made need an op for that too. When Ruby threw up yesterday I thought "Noooooooo, not Sham, Rosie and now Ruby" but thankfully she must of eaten something she shouldn't when out and she's fine now. Only Ruby never been the vets for anything (hope I haven't spoken too soon) :)

Rosie is such a baby, a very loving girl and I know I'll cry when her dad drives off with her in the morning. :mecry:

So just to wish my little sweetie good luck, :GroupHug: she hates the vets and you have to slide her along the floor with all four legs splayed out.

  5. Thanks :GroupHug:

We rang in the afternoon and she'd picked up a bit being on a drip. She's my rescue from the Oldies Club and we've only had her 7 months but seems like forever (she's 11 the end of this month). We love her so much even Ruby and Rosie were very quiet and subdued, not like them at all.

We went to visit her early evening and took her cuddly duck that she loves so much. She showered us with kisses, especially her dad. She had slightly high levels in her blood to indicate something wrong with her liver function. :( They kept her in on the drip and were doing another blood test this morning and a liver function test. She had picked up considerably from taking her in at 2pm, thank god.

Didn't get much sleep her not being here, one of the vets rang this morning to say she was bright, cheerful and she made her laugh when she peeked in on her. She was lay with her chin on her cuddly duck sleeping like a baby. They did the test this morning, they didn't do another blood as she was so bright and I had to call back at 1pm.

Called back and they said she could come home, I wept with joy and couldn't wait to go and pick her up. And what happened, they had a bloody lane closed on the East Lancs into Manchester, took me ages to get there. The result of the test will be a few days and I have to take her my own vets for a check up on Thursday, she's on three small meals a day and four medications.

She was so happy to be home, two of my friends (male, Sham likes the fella's)  called and she was wagging her tail and giving everyone kisses. Ruby and Rosie went wild and greeted her with kisses too. And when her dad came home she went wild again and wouldn't stop giving him kisses. She's had two small meals and is now snuggled up on the couch with her head on her dad's knee.

We have the old Sham back thank god, lets just hope the tests are okay. :flowers:

Nearly came home without her cuddly duck, the nurses in the back room came running out waving it just as the receptionist went to find it for me. Couldn't go home without that.

  6. She's been up all night vomiting, I stayed up with her and OH took her the emergency vets this morning. Her temp was up slightly, heart fine. They gave her 3 injections and some lectate sachets. He brought her home but I wasn't happy as she vomited again and wouldn't drink the lectate. :mecry:

I decided that she was going back as she looked exhausted after pacing all night and vomiting. She couldn't stop pacing here and needed some fluids too. Leaving her there broke my heart, she tried to get out of the vets clutches and follow me out the room. Her face was heartwrenching watching me go.

We love her sooooooooooooooooo much  and after losing my mum's dog not long before adopting Sham I couldn't bear to go through it again. Please god it's a infection of some sort, she's been there nearly 3 hours now and I'm going to ring soon to see how she's doing.
