A friend bought a laptop from Toys r us last year and when they had a problem with a charger toys r us arranged a replacement so I cant see how PC World can wriggle out of it.
If its packed in so soon then its def not fit for purpose.

Oh no thats awful
I really did hope it wasnt true

Just seen a post on our local freecycle appealing for bedding for Freshfields. It says theyve had a fire and sadly lost some animals and many others are very ill
Has anybody else heard anything?
I feel really sick thinking about it and hope its not true but cant see why somebody would post about it if it wasnt true.
Poor poor animals...really hope things are okay

Yesterday I went with my friend to the RSPCA to see if they had any rescue buns that were looking for a new home. While we were there we had to have a look at the dogs (even though I knew it would break my heart )
Id say at least 50% of the dogs were bull breeds or crosses and it was heartbreaking to see them in their kennels looking totally miserable and dejected until you spoke to them and then they were desperate to be cuddled, fussed and loved...it was even more heartbreaking knowing I had to walk away as unfortunately Im just not in a position to take on another pooch
There was one poor doglet who had the most severe bowed front legs I have ever seen and he had the most pathetic sad lonely look on his face...above his kennel (where the number of the dog usually is) was a sign saying "not for sale under the dangerous dogs act".
I asked all the staff I saw (probably 5 or 6) what the story was and why he was on display with the dogs available for rehoming but nobody could, or would give me an answer...in my opinion this dog was no more "type" than my neighbours lhasa.
Id love to find out why his kennel had the sign on...Id also love to know why he was there when he was unavailable for rehoming? Im not suggesting he should be locked away somewhere but you could clearly see some of the dogs were becoming quite stressed in that environment with the public coming and going and I dont understand why you would put a dog through that if it wasnt necessary...his barking and crying was in vain as nobody could take him home - it was as though he was some kind of freak show
Just wondered what other people thought?

This has just been on GMTV too...totally unbelieveble
They say theyre relying on the generosity of people donating bottled water. I know that people need water but ffs surely the water board has a duty to source more supplies to make sure every person and every animal has their basic requirements met

So sorry

"My names Katie and Im a smoker "
Ive been pondering the ban on smoking in public places and notice that a few fugees have commented on smoking in cars and if it is likely to be banned or not. The funny thing is that your car is actually classed as a public place in the eyes of the law so if that really is the case how come smoking in cars hasnt yet been outlawed too
(I only know this useless bit of info cos when my ex was arrested in posession of a knife he was told he would be charged with posession of a bladed weapon in a public place and that his car was the public place )
I understand why they have introduced the ban but I really think they should have maybe thought things through a bit more and perhaps made provision for some of the more exceptional circumstances...Kendra had an appt at Alder Hey Childrens hospital today and even though the whole site (including car parks) is now non smoking there were plenty of people openly flouting the law. Yes they were technically in the wrong but theres a good chance that there will be some very poorly kids with very stressed parents in the hospital and I really dont think you can expect a parent to spend half an hour walking across the site to the street and back (and yes it really is a huge place) to have a cig when they would probably only want to nip out for 5 mins tops. I know some people will say that if they really care about their kids they wouldnt be nipping out at all but even non smoking parents probably feel like escaping for a few mins just to clear their heads.
On a bad note though the local press have been reporting that staff at Alder Hey have been abused and assaulted by people fagging it in the grounds and I dont condone that as at the end of the day the staff are only doing their jobs

If anyone in Aberdeen theres a free folding dog crate on the free2collect site. (similar to freecycle.)
Edited to add its in Newtonhill.
Beat you to it
I contacted the person offering it last night asking if they would consider maybe giving it to their local animal rescue centre and they have got back to me this morning to say they hadnt thought of it before but were going to contact a shelter local to them to offer it
