owl
I have been asked to help a local man find a new home for his 8 yr old black lab. She is a trained gundog but has become gun shy. She has always been kennelled so would need some time to get used to being indoors. She is very fit for her age and really gentle and friendly. She gets her walks every day but now has to stay at home when her spaniel companions are out on shoots. She would like to live with an active person/family who could provide plenty of walks. I haven't asked how she is with cats, but she is great with people and dogs. So if anyone is looking for a very well-behaved mature lab girl, please get in touch. cycas
If you can get some pics and want to put her on Oldies Club site I bet you'd have a queue. Last few older black labs we've put up we've been practically crushed by the crowds!
owl
Thank you. I will arrange to see the man and get some pics of Fern. I'm not surprised that people want mature black labs. I had set my heart on a senior black lab bitch as a companion for Polly, but fate intervened
Karen
I suspect that at 8 years old Fern isn't quite old enough to fit in with Rosie, but please could you ask what she is like with cats or small furries?
owl
I will certainly do that. Are we talking house bunnies here?
Karen
Mostly outdoor, well secured bunnies. But can't rule out rabbits being caged indoors (post-op or when ill) on occasion! Thank you.
