Sending love and wishing I were nearer, Jazz xx Blackmagic, interesting bird. Could be a leucistic sparrow. does it sound and act like a sparrow?
-
That is a pain, hope you can get back on Facebook. Sounds like a real struggle today xx

Not as much as you have! Mostly lost dog stuff online, then took Fin out for a walk round a playing field and a wood in the village. A bit more cutting back of the buddleias.

Good to hear that, eve. Warmer here but Retford has flooded yet again, and there is a flood warning for Worksop. I dare not go to my section of the reserve, it's a squishy mess. There is simply nowhere for the water to go.

Hope scans etc can be done asap, Jazz. Eve, tough luck with the boiler, hope plumber can get it working. We had a very brisk and frosty walk in the forest yesterday. Staying home today as snow is melting but now thick fog everywhere.
-
Snow and ice are melting here for the time being, might take Fin out for a bit if sun comes through later. Tomorrow should also be ok for a walk in the forest, but heavy snow is coming in early Sunday morning. Been watching all the extra blackbirds who winter in my conifers, they love the facilities at mine especially the warmed water on frosty mornings.

Heating on here too, I also feel the cold which I rarely used to.
-
I hope you can find someone to help, sadly I am too far away x
-
How many do you have at present, Jazz?
-
Glad you got that done ok at last, but sorry about your shoulder. We are ok here, pottering on as usual x

80 years old and still not a proper grown-up, too late to do it now.

Poor Mouse and Tara, how are they today? Hope you feel better soon, blackmagic Very strong winds today, but thankfully dry and not so chilly as yesterday.
-
Doing battle with the cold, but thankfully was dry today, same forecast for tomorrow. I'm glad Fin is a cuddlebug, keeps me warm Waxwings have arrived in Sheffield, hope they come here.

Evening all. First acupuncture session after the lady has been away fro 2 months, visiting family in China. I really needed it as back problem was returning, not seriously as yet but defo feeling lopsided. Rather knocked me out, in a good way, just felt like sleeping but had a leisurely afternoon taking Fin for a gentle walk in Tickhill. He has got used to the ducks on the millpond there, slightly interested still but not so keen x

The time of year that we at Doglost dread. Bloody fireworks

We got lucky, the storm missed us last night and today is ok, chilly wind but not strong.
-
Planning to stay put tomorrow, we have everything we need. Managed a woodland walk this afternoon.

Finley is having a lie-in after getting me up at 1 a.m. to chase something up the garden and in and out of the shrubs for half an hour! In the end I had to go up the garden with torch and a lead to get him back. Was worried for a while as I couldn't find him, hauled him out from under a bush. Little stinker.

Everything still sodden here, no idea how Retford will manage through the next storm. Hope nurse can be of some help, Jazz. I never got called for jury duty, to my relief. One of my friends did, and found it hard going. He and one other guy thought the defendant might not be guilty, and they had to convince the other 10 who thought on no good evidence that she must be guilty of something anyway as she looked the type. Several just wanted to get it all over with asap and go home, and my friend and the other guy had to be quite forceful and insist on discussing evidence as they were duty bound to do. So against a chorus of grumbling and moaning from the dissenters, they went through it all and eventually managed to change all minds except one. This was a female juror of rigid beliefs who said the woman must be guilty as she was living in sin, and should be punished anyway even if she had not committed this particular crime. The judge took a majority verdict, and acquitted the defendant. It was like the old film "12 Angry Men".

Hoping you have a peaceful day to help you lift the depression x

How did the scan go? We are ok thanks. I put central heating on for a couple of hours last night to help the dehumidifier keep the house dry. May do the same tonight. It's not really cold, but the damp makes it feel like it is.
