Clumber Park for the afternoon, unexpectedly warm day so took advantage of it. Finley is worn out and happy. Hoping chest infection improves. I've done a bit of garden tidying as well, first council garden bin collection of year today so filled it with holly hedge clippings.
-
New car doing very well, much easier to drive than its predecessor so I feel like going further afield once the days are a bit longer. It has a CD player, the old one had a cassette player!

Getting my new car was a great moment

Finley would like to know if you can get a whole buffalo. He says he is very hungry as his horrid mum has put him on a diet.
-
Glad your long journey went well, and that Harry has taken everything in his stride.
-
Hope blackmagic has arrived safely in Norfolk. It's been a lovely day here. Went for a walk in the forestry with Fin's spaniel girlfriend and her dad.
-
Harry sounds like a steady fellow. Odd reason to give him up, as one would normally make sure that he and neighbour dog stayed out of each other's way if they didn't get on.

Exciting day, blackmagic! If you happen to be stopping for a break at Blyth Services on A1 (the Notts Blyth, not the Northumberland one) text or call me on 07973 273838 and I will pop up to meet you as I am only 3 miles from those services.

Glad you are feeling better, likewise here but having a quiet day after sleeping for nearly 10 hours which I haven't done for years. Heavy rain again this morning, will need to think of somewhere to walk Fin which won't be ankle deep.

20 yr old Honda HRV, 4x4. My lovely mechanic has been looking out for something for me as the current one is 23 yrs old and needs some parts replacing which you can no longer get. It's a wheelchair conversion which I got for Wispa when she became too shaky to be safe on a dog ramp. Her crate sat in the back and she could just toddle up the wheelchair ramp. She loved it and it meant she could enjoy days out on the reserve. Hope chest improves by tomorrow.

Busy day getting everything out of my Kangoo ready for new car tomorrow. I have been treating it like a 2nd home. Fin is puzzled and wonders what I am up to.
-
Poor Arty, sending love, keep us posted. xx
-
Thanks for thinking of us, we are thinking of you and wish we could help. Had a reasonable day here, much warmer. Trevor took me and Fin to the Museum of the Horse in Tuxford, amazing collection of horse gear with some items from thousands of years ago. Then we visited an interesting church and I took Fin for a muddy walk. Celandines and blackthorn out, and the first primrose I have seen this year.

Is there anyone around who can help you?
-
Good luck, Jazz x We had a very long walk in the forestry this afternoon, cold but still and sunny. Unlikely to get a walk tomorrow as weather will be either snow all day, rain all day, or a soggy mixture of both. Saw 3 roe deer, got quite close as Fin was so focused on tracking them with nose stuck to ground that he didn't realise they were in view!

Hopefully his boss will take him somewhere with better food when he arrives.

This refers to me blowing the whistle on facebook concerning a missing dogs organisation, Drone to Home. It's all gone a bit mad, first was ok then a few people started using it as an excuse to squabble among themselves. I will be hiding the post and thread later today, then setting up a page as opposed to a profile which makes it easier to control, and copying my statement on to there.

Sounds like two pairs of bullfinches? The females are greyish with black cap. Plenty of photos online if you search. RSPB and BTO have photos to help ID all British birds. Hope everything works out, Jazz.
-
I bet they did! Definitely a change in bird activity, they are starting to pair up early. Snowdrops coming out everywhere.
-
Just seen your post from yesterday, what is the situation with toes and legs now? x Finley says thank you Eve, he had a very good day x
-
It's Finley's gotcha day! Long walk in forest today as weather is forecast very wet all tomorrow. Had a good outing yesterday as well, with a birdwatching friend. Saw a huge flock of fieldfares plus one corn bunting. Plus a mink in reeds on the riverbank. Good thing I had Fin on long line and pulled him back quickly. He was well up for having a go and ending up at the vets.
-
Nice day here, long walk in the woods.
-
Fairly sheltered here by tall conifer hedge 2 doors down, and by my own leylandii at end of garden. Fin has just been out mousing, he is well below the level of wind and it's fairly warm. No doubt the mice are tucked up safe for the night, but he had to check the whole garden anyway.

Snug at home. Had walk on village sports field this afternoon as it was the only place we could be safe from trees/branches landing on us.
