  1. I have been to Berwick upon Tweed... it's lovely
  2. Laughing at the mobility scooter bit...not the workers!
  3. Hahaha, I know Eve, some of the stuff is a bit bonkers and yeah....us English folk are evil!!! Not sure which bit of me is the evil bit as I am half Irish!
  4. You don't have to social distance from your hairdressers...they wear ppe and most insist on you wearing a face mask. Same as in a pub, the bar staff can come and serve you, bring you meals etc.
  5. Hahaha you're lucky she didn't give you a mowhawk
  6. No, they weren't 6ft back It was great, really professional, temperature taken, seat sanitised along with his tools, I was asked to sanitise my hands and you have to wear your own mask, I was then seated and given a disposable gown, my stylist had a mask on, visor, disposable apron and sanitised his hands too. They preferred a card payment which I could provide but the gent who got his hair cut at the same time as me ( there was a seat empty between us) he couldn't, he had to pay cash so they put kitchen roll into a plastic basket, he put the money in, they sprayed it with Dettol and rubbed it with the kitchen roll so it was all sanitised. They were doing no walk ins and won't be for the next few weeks ( it's usually a non appointment salon). He has done a really nice job although I will have to get used to it again lol
  7. Whack some wildlife cameras up...that's what councils do to catch fly tippers... people can't go round doing stuff like that, it's insane! Been and had my haircut, all well handled Steve bought me new shoes today...dead excited, he won't normally buy women's stuff, he didn't need to treat me but it's nice to be spoilt
  8. Eve, it's very rare you mention wanting a rant so it must be bad! Go for it
  9. Lol Eve, I just use my nickname and it's mainly to avoid contact with my family, saves telling them to do one so kindest option!
  10. You talk to someone who hurt you??? Why on earth would you waste your time with them!! If you are having to talk to them under a different name then they aren't worth your time. There's no deception on my part, the people I get to know well on forums get to know my proper name etc, I would just prefer not to have to tell my family to sod off and although if I saw him in the street I would say hi, I wouldn't particularly want my ex back in my life!
  11. Awww, poor little sparrow, could your daughter put a bird box up for the bird incase she wants to stay in the same area? To be honest, the fact it's right in the oath to the bins shouldn't be a problem, as long as you are careful...we just cordon off the area things are living like the bumble bees, they ended up with half my lawn lol Owl, don't you want a television?? Catfishing is so common, I mean, we are just people on a screen....you can be who or whatever you want. Nobody would be able to find out anything about me as I no longer exist on the internet...not on the public electoral roll, don't use my name or details etc
  12. I don't really use anything out of date, the market we go to has stalls that sell the out of date stuff...some of it is 2 years out...we don't touch it. I don't really use anything tinned, I tend to eat a lot of pasta, rice, veg
  13. Awwww, bless wispa, as diesel got older, I found most of her day was spent snoozing
  14. Suzeanna, death does funny things to people...me, if they are a wrong'un I will say it regardless of if they dead or alive, can't be two faced Yantan....I think it's safer to let things settle down a bit
  15. Wow....July already! Hopefully this month will see people behaving with more consideration for others ( I think I may be somewhat optimistic!!) And that those who are shielding will get their freedom next month as planned. I have my haircut booked for the 4th of July.... hopefully we won't get locked down before then! Not sure when I will venture to the pub, I think there could well be a lot of trouble the first few nights with people taking things to excess...yes, I want a pint at my local, yes, I want to see my friends but I don't want to get mixed up in anything where people want to ruin a good night and I also don't want to get the dreaded virus.....yet, need to get my mum better first. Hoping this month sees us all keeping well xx
  16. We had a similar experience at a local pool where I used to live, the make swan was renowned for attacking people and dogs...he had no reason except he liked to do it, he flew the length of the pins and had a go at my dog diesel....I rung my dad and said what do I do?? He just said do whatever you have too to look after the dog, he really was a nasty s*d....if it wasn't you he was going after it was kind of funny. He got killed on the road a couple of years ago and literally everyone was upset... despite his meanness.
  17. Hope your brother is going to be o.k.
  18. Awwww yantan...so sorry for you, mum gets like that...hope you feel better soon Zooooooom, there goes suzeanna lol Pleased you found the glasses Karen...at least they weren't on top of your head lol
  19. Suzeanna, it's not admitting defeat, it's using a device to improve your life...you aren't giving up ( coz I won't let you lol)
  20. Fingers crossed for the swan owl....I wonder would a barking dog scare him/ her into making the little flight? We have sunshine here at the moment.. not sure how long it's going to last, it's quite windy though!
  21. Eve...if it's a shearings holiday hotel, leger have taken them over and I think they will at some point be utilising the hotels again, mum and dad do self drive with shearings and I had to look it up for them lol
  22. Oh dear owl.... there's quite a number of people who have developed covid nearby to my city...the hospital is not the one that mum goes to thankfully! Yantan...I honestly don't envy you, I have found a solution to people using my bins though!! We have bin locks, cost us £63 but it's done the trick, I got ours off eBay but you have to check it will fit your bin as there are apparently different types of wheelie bins....as I found out
  23. I went to the market today...we always go early anyway but it was packed as we were leaving...tonnes of hand sanitizer for people to use.. people just walked past it!! Social distancing??? We kept standing back and waiting but others would just walk right in front of you and the arrows stating one way..... number of people walking the wrong way!! We got p*ssed off and left quickly
  24. I am sickened by the selfishness of the human race..truly I am, not only do they have little regard for themselves and their families but the others they will likely infect... Then we come to the rubbish... now, when I was a kid, I was raised that if you couldn't find a bin, you stuffed the rubbish in your pocket, back into your picnic bag etc and found a bin or dumped it at home, seems that parks, beaches, open spaces all across the country are treated with the exact same lack of cleanliness. I went in to town today, I went to primarni, no queue, tonnes of hand gel, lots of staff making sure people entered and exited the correct way and on my way out the security guard actually thanked me!! There was one silly mare in there.... trying on shoes!! The staff shot straight over and told her no... you can't try on shoes! I now have a new hat and underwear and socks so if lockdown restarts....I am good!
  25. Thanks all...bit calmer today. I hope you get your results soon jazz Owl.. good luck with the strumming and eye test Yantan...so pleased the heat isn't bothering Ruby, she's enough to put up with already
