  1. Well today I can say that I have eventually lost the extra pound I put on at Xmas. I have also lost another half pound as well which means that I am now a whole 3 stone lighter than I was two years ago. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still want to lose another pound so that I can say I am 9 stone exactly. And very well done to you all and go for it Loobie
  2. I have just done 5 miles on the bike my legs are wobbly,these facts are related
  3. Well today I have walked the dogs for an hour. Done three miles on the exercise bike including some hilly bits. Done 100 sit ups Some press ups with the ball and some other bits using a 3Kg kettle bell. I might try another couple of miles on the bike when my legs have recovered
  4. I am still here and plodding on. You are all doing so well and put my feeble efforts to shame,but I guess every little bit helps. I wish I had thought about doing it when I was younger but I was too fat and lazy then
  5. Griff if you join Myfitnesspal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ It is easy to work out your calories and what you should use etc. It really helped me when I was logging everything.

  7. Well done all of you I am still ticking along doing bits and pieces but nothing like the levels you all seem to be achieving
  8. I am still plodding on Doing much the same each day but it is not getting any easier One good thing though I have lost another half pound so am only half a pound up now

  10. I am finding it OK ,thanks I tend to not do anything when OH is home then catch up again once he is back at work. Well done to you all.I admire your determination.
  11. Right OH has gone back to work today so I am back on the wagon I have done crunches and press ups,some bits on the ball and Kettle Bells and 3 miles on the bike. Now time for a sit down and some food

  13. I don't work hard enough to sweat I have managed to lose one and a half pounds of my Xmas extras so am a happy bunny
  14. You are very brave to run at all. I cannot even run a few yards I have done my five miles and other bits again today and my legs are not too bad
  15. Ah you are all much younger than ancient old me I put on a few pounds over xmas so am now 9stone 4,I was 9 st.1 before and want to get to 9 st. if I can. I am about 5 ft 4 inches or maybe just under, but I am quite big framed. My problem is that old bodies are a lot harder to tone up and I want to avoid getting too wrinkly if I can.
  16. I have done my 5 miles on the bike again today and the ball and other bits and bobs of torture I now have very achy legs but I guess it must be good for me Can I ask how old people are please?
  17. I have just seen Body Blast and Zumba classes being advertised at the local school,which is easier to do or best especially if you have rubbish co ordination
  18. Thanks for the welcome I have had a play with the ball suggestions and they seem achievable for my old body,so I will continue with them.I also did some sit ups,Press ups and planks I am going to try for 5 miles on the exercise bike later. Wish me luck

Hi all Hope you don't mind me joining in I have lost nearly three stone in the last two years and am trying to get fitter,I am around the right weight now but would like to try and tone up the flabby bits but I guess that I am a lot older than you all.I am 57. I have an exercise bike,a gym ball and some kettle bells at home but need some suggestions for suitable things using them.

  22. Well done No advice on the spare bits though I have lost another pound but still have lots of wobbly bits
