I was told today that a dog walking friend died on Monday.She had been suffering from cancer but not expected to die so soon.She was only 61 and a lovely lady with lots of little rescue dogs,life is so cruel. On the plus side her best friend is having all the dogs,as they know her and her dogs really well.So at least they will not be shoved around. RIP Nicola

For you Sarah I know how you feel,We had that type of feeling for many months before Odey went to the bridge. It was such a difficult time as she was not really ill,just old.So many times we thought are we being cruel keeping her,then the next day she would be fine. All you can do is keep him comfortable and love him.

JD BEING FOSTERED IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE 17-04-08 JD is back. He is a 14 week old Dalmatian. His owners lost their home and could not keep him so he came in to look for a new home. A family adopted him after we had interviewed them, made them go home to read up on the breed, did a careful home check and cross questioned them again. We let him be adopted only to find a grandchild (who had never been mentioned) was scared of the pup so he needed to come back to us. I plead with you all to think - do not let your heart rule your head. Taking on a dog is a HUGE commitment and it so matters to a dog not to be let down. Don't apply for a dog unless you are sure. I have also been looking at them.The only thing that I have found out is that the sum insured is not renewed each year so if you use your £3000 or whatever on a condition that condition is no longer covered but it seems that a different condition would be. The quotes I got for mine were also very good but I am still confused.
