  1. Might have found my parents a new dog! Mum decided it has been long enough without as Dad has just got a new boat and she will be on her own more again that she wants a new dog. The girl I rescued Luna from has just posted a little pug cross, approx 1 year old quiet stray who sounds very nice. Fingers crossed it works but I might be travelling half way to meet them with a new member of the family. Handily I have the week off as Luna is being spayed tomorrow.
  2. Not sure yet, might do some POTD either Sat or Sun. Molly was a wee bit lame this morning after agility last night so it may depend on how she is tonight. Can't do Vyne as I am on call for work.
  3. Come and see us Sophie!! The venue should be good (used for x-country events) and we aim to have a fun relaxed show, with the benefit of progression classes!! Bit nerve wracking as it is our first show but hopefully all will go well.
  4. http://www.ishowservices.com/schedules/Highdown2013.pdf At last, we have our agility show schedule available to enter. It's a bit scary as it's our first show but hopefully we will get decent entries. We are havinga jumping classes just for rescued/re-homed dogs with all entry fees going to Valgrays Collie Rescue which I think is a great idea.
  5. Molly was very good yesterday and we passed our in club Gold Progress Test...clever girlie!
  6. The toy is a combo of a 'cage' ball fleeced for the handle and has a latex squeaky inside. I get them from trade stands at shows. www.agilityk9s.co.uk are friends of mine
  7. to any fugees in need of one. Don't want to miss anyone out whether it's a hug for good or a hug for poorlyness. We had SUNSHINE today!!!! It was even warm!!! So to celebrate, here are some photos and.....Luna had her first ever go over some jumps today!!
  8. Actually I have been there when it is tooo hot to do agility...funnily enough at Easter!!
  9. Just defrosting after another COLLLLLD day at Easter Celebration Agility Show at Ardingly Saturday was a bit 'what might have been but today...... Glen went clear in combined G1-2 Jumping and got 5th in Grade 2 Agility while Molly got 6th in the combined Jumping and 2nd in the Agility!! I love my doggies lots and am very proud of them!!
  10. I used a stock cube, don't think the liquid covered it all. Did put meat on top and browned it first. This is my first attempt so will se how it looks/tastes when I get home tonight. My friend that walks my dogs said it smelt nice when she went in so fingers crossed.
  11. OK folks, I bought a slow cooker a while back.....I now have some beef and some veggies but do I need to put any liquid in as well?
  12. Have fun at Crufts Sam. I went yesterday with a bus of our agility club members. We were supporting one of our Junior members who qualified for the final in the arena and came third. Well done to Millie and Dexter!!! Today I will mostly be watching the live streaming....
  13. WARNING FOR ANYONE IN THE WORTHING AREA!!!!! One of our agility club members was walking her dog in Tarring Park, Worthing when a man tried to grab the dog by her collar!! Owner shouted and the man ran away luckily...please everyone be vigilant and warn any dog owners in the area. Only description she has is male, tall, dark hair wearing jeans and a black fleece.
  14. Yes it was me!! Didn't realise it was you either!!! Migraine thankfully passed quickly but I did spend a while sitting in the sand with the poor lady who broke her leg. Glen got a clear in s/c but did norty things in his other runs and Molly got 1st in s/c 1, 4th in TFO and did sillieness in the other classes.
  15. Am so with you there...having just had a week off the thought of going back in to work STINKS!!!!
  16. Well done Logan!! Contacts can be 'challenging'...what do you aim for?
  17. We have just had a session of flyball training!! Luna was OK...she needs to be more 'into' a ball which I can work on. Molly already heads up triggers and flies back she quite enjoys it
  18. I am back from Strathaven, visiting Mum and Dad following their return from Australia. They seem to have had a good time but are both still quite tired. Whilst I was up I decided to take in an agility show...just for some early season practise MOLLY WON!!! She won the Graded agility class which now promotes both her and Glen into Grade 2. I was in bits waiting for the class to finish because she had been leading the morning agility class and just got beaten to second near the end and we were in the same position in the afternoon Thankfully this time we stayed first, I am soo proud of my girl!!
  19. I agree with Snow here, you loved him and he knew that. Run free and happy Max! Huge hugs for you Alex, it hurts so much I know
