mickeymygrey
This is a steam railway line with classic trains and the old stations - dogs are wlecome if they buy a "rover" ticket which is a pound and they can sit under the table or in one of the old first class carriages. We went the other week and it was very relaxing - cost us £25 for two adults and two kids. This is the Mid Hants railway near Alresford.
Astrid
That sounds like fun!!!! Do you have any more details Helen? Is the station open 7 days?
mickeymygrey
hi Astrid Right their website is www.watercressline.co.uk - there is also a vintage bus service on some days. There are the obvious specials like mothers day/christmas specials etc etc along with real ale evenings, sunday lunch service and saturday evening meals. Not sure if dogs are allowed on all of these though. The journey runs from Alton to Alresford and back again. Talking timetable tel no is 01962 734866 and the normal tel no is 01962 733810. GingerMacYoYo
I've been to the station, years ago, can't remember if we went on the train though. Children were infant/junior school age I think. Now son is about to become a Dad himself and he lives in Alresford. Pretty little town but the parking is a nightmare (think the Watercress Line has it's own parking though).
