Maria
We stayed here last week with the inlaws, and the cottage was just gorgeous! Technically in Cornwall, although just on the border with Devon, it sleeps 8 , and is also very 'green'. You can also go and visit the nature trail the owners have at their own farm a few miles away. They do have another cottage nearer their farm, but as there is livestock in the field next door at times, we chose to stay at Hill Cottage. The garden are fully enclosed, but an escape artist could possibly find their way out under gates (although Boysie always tests the boundaries and didn't feel tempted to stray). Sunlovers would love the rear, steeply terraced garden - we called it the 'grassy knoll' , and you do have to go to the top to get a mobile signal.....but it was lovelyl. Near to Bude (which has at least one dog friendly beach), and other NT beaches which allow dogs. Also close enough to Dartmoor / Bodmin Moor for other days out.... http://www.selfcateringcottagesdevon.co.uk/index.html
