  1. Sorry to read you have had such a terrible time with Sophie, it must be very distressing for you :GroupHug:

I am a TTouch Practitioner, from what you have said I feel you may be better taking Sophie for a one-to-one session. You could do a one to one first and then attend the workshop afterwards. The workshops are great at teaching you how to use TTouch yourself and there may be some work done by the practitioner with the dogs there. However if Sophie is so hand shy and sensitive to being touched it may be she needs to start with some of the other TTouch tools. :flowers: TTouch can help Sophie move forward from this. If you have a one to one session you will be shown how to do some of the TTouches felt by the practitioner to be most beneficial for Sophie. :)

I hope that helps. If you want to ask anything else about TTouch please do :flowers:

  3. I am sorry to read that your son is having problems with the secondary school. :GroupHug: This does not sound fair, or like it has been thoroughly investigated either.

As a primary school teacher I understand what you mean. We often wonder how some of the children will cope with secondary school when they leave us, for a number of reasons.

At primary school the children frequently have the same teacher day in, day out, all year, so as you say, the teacher normally gets a handle on children's problems and is able to read the signs you mention more quickly. At secondary school they can have a number of different teachers a day, who just don't get to know the children well enough. :(

Some children are very good at manipulating a situation. ie the bully knows that there are not so many teachers around when they are swapping classes, so a good time to cause trouble. Particularly if it is a large school.

It would be worth going to the school with someone else, if only to remember everything that is said inthe meeting. The school should have a special needs co-ordinator. It maybe worth making an appointment to see them and ask why the incidents are not logged and also why the members of staff do not seem to have been made aware or your son's needs.

    Good luck :GroupHug:

  4. How did you get on with the van? I've sorted out my insurance this evening; went onto insurancesupermarket last night and got a quote. Then this evening I called Staveley insurance brokers back (can give you their phone number if you want), they were really nice and helpful, and not at all slick and pushy, like some of these guys are, and I got a really really good deal (I think): £365 for the year, £250 excess and inc legal cover! I'm well chuffed with it, as the other quotes I got for a similar price were all without legal cover and a twice as high excess :flowers:

    Thank you! :flowers: :flowers:

I'm sooo excited now!!! I'm picking her up on Thursday afternoon - and I'm already sh!tting meself coz it'll be the first time ever that I'll be driving a van, and it'll be mine! Can't wait to get used to it though, and kit it out properly and take my guys all over the place - it's gonna be great! :pinkie: :pinkie:

I hope you have fun in your van today :) I am sure you will.

We bought the van, it is being delivered next week, probably Wednesday, it is lovely. Now we need to sort out cages for the gang  and insurance, and tax.....

  5. I'm SOOOOOOOO excited now, can't wait to get her home!!! :partytime:

She's still at the seller's, as she's not taxed and insured yet, will sort that this week. She's then gonna get a good clean, and finally get proper insulated and plylined, and we'll have rubber matting on the floor, for easy cleaning and to stop the guys from sliding all over the place - the skanky double duvet will still feature in the back tho :sick01: Oh, and I also want doggie paw prints all over, does anyone know if those decals that you can get on ebay would be okay, or are they only to stick on the inside of windows? Told ya I'm not very clued up!

I have the e-bay paw prints and they go on the outside, really easily, and come off when it is needed too. I'll see if I can find the seller I got mine from :)
