  1. Yama, Loki, Budda, Homer, Luci, Bob, Mintoe, Mia, Mao, Lily & Cheesecake would like to thank their Secret Santas :flowers:

Present opening started off so well, everyone sitting and waiting their turn:

    Loki loved his Duck:

Budda was delighted to find treats just for him:

The cats shared with the foster kittens:

Then the nip-heads realised what was in the box:

    Leading to fisticuffs at dawn:

I'm afraid I had to leave the room then, I didn't feel safe

Many thanks to SS's and to Phoebejo for organising it again. :flowers:

  2. Homer & Bob's present(s) have arrived, thanks SS :flowers:

It never occurred to me to lock the double-wrapped-stuck-in-jiffy-bags-and-ready-to-post SS presents out of Cheesecake's reach and he opened them all on Friday night  I'm fairly certain Santa traditionally doesn't pre-chew the presents so I was a little delayed getting replacements.

SS Presents Take Two saw them live in the car for the weekend and get wrapped in the post office before being handed over for their journey

  3. I used the view new posts button a lot too and I think I found a workaround:

On the bottom of the main page, below the last of the forums and above the list of active users there's a small link called "Today's active content" that lists all of the threads updated in the last 24 hours. The only difference between it and view new posts seems to be that it only goes back 24 hours.

  4. I only have the quick pictures I took before he brought them home to the heatlamp. I'll go visit tomorrow to get better pictures of them and the goslings.

I think the last one is a different breed to the others - he/she has feathers on its legs and none of the others have that. A surprise chicken :)

  5. Eldest Little Brother and I are now joint chicken keepers (I paid for them, he's raising them). We have 13 chicks (a mix of Marans, Welsomers, Rhode Island Reds and Light Sussex) hatched last Thursday. When they're grown they'll have a 12' x 8' shed with a 22' long run and 1.5 acres of garden for supervised roaming. And I'll have eggs and free range chicken for dinner. :)

He's also got a pair of 3 week old goslings. They're super cute right now but I'm sure it won't be long before they're refusing to let anyone out the back like the last lot did

  6. Could the email problems be related to the recent problems Invision had with the Invasion of the Spambots? I know a lot of their IPs ended up on blacklists as a result of that and the cleanup is still ongoing I believe.

I may be completely off the mark here but I don't know how the backend of the Refuge is setup and it seems very coincidental :flowers:
