  1. According to the met office forecast, it will be - 3 on Sat night and -7 on Sunday night and -4 on Monday night!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a horrible drive to work and dont want to go already :mecry: Anyway, we had a lovely New Years Eve last night, and a very relaxed New Years day today. Off for a bracing dog walk tomorrow (whether or not the kids want to go ) Keep safe in the snow and ice everyone.

  2. I had a trip to see Eddie Izzard from my daughter (saw him in November), and a dvd of the tour. In the awful category I had a swarozki (cant spell) crystal covered teddy broach with moving arms and legs  Its awful, but fortunately my mum loves it so I gave it to her.

  3. You will need a prescription from your vet, to buy it on-line.

You should check with your vet what he will charge for giving you the piece of paper.

He can only prescribe for 'a dog under his care'. This means paying for a consultation. Some vets will issue a prescription for three months, or six months, but others are insisting on a monthly one. This means a consultation fee each month.

It may, therefore, not be any cheaper to buy it on-line.

It is up to the vet how often he requires to see the animal.

    thanks for the information

  4. I bought a guitar for left handed people today and a teach yourself book (for left handed people). I only went into the music shop to see how much it would cost to convert my sons right handed guitar, and came out with a new one (they had a sale on). I have always wanted to play a musical instrument :flowers:

  5. For my birthday (50th), my mum and daughter bought me a spa day at the St Davids hotel (5 star). I went there today and had a great time. Lovely quiet swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, fantastic massage chairs, lovely lunch, massage and manicure. Definately how the other half lives!

  6. Had a lovely day today, son and I went to the Maritime Museum in Swansea, lots of interactive stuff (which got fed up with). Then we went to the Swansea museum, which son had noticed had an exhibition "Crime and Punishment". It was quite gory. Found out that the last hanging in Swansea jail was the year before I was born!!!!!!!!!! (1958)

  7. I know I've missed loads as I've been having the problems with loads of white space and reading was not much fun.

I'm sure there will be Group_Hug_Emoticon.gif needed, probably some mecry.gif and almost certainly laugh.gif

My lovely friends who I have been dogsitting for have just come back and collected Brock, and taken my boys for a walk which is really nice as it is pishing down here.

My not so nice upstairs neighbours have built a charming silver metal shed in their garden - we live in a consevation area (so they should have got pp) and I look at said shed out of my back bedroom window due to the way the houses are built. Would like to report them but it would obviously be me and I don't want the hassle as they are 'orrible sad01_anim.gif

Why should you be cowed by your horrible neighbours? Report them and get the horrible shed removed. They are trading on thier horribleness (I know this is not a proper word, could not think of a better one!)

  8. We should have been going on holiday to St Austell today, when I checked the weather forecast it was rain all day, so we are setting off tomorrow. Am feeling a bit  because its a 210 mile drive, and then putting up a huge tent and everything else. Me plus reluctant teenage daughter and enthusiastic 10yr old son.

  9. Are there any residents of Cornwall here? I am going on holiday to near St Austell on sat, and the forecast doesnt look very good. Someone on a weather site mentioned micro climates in Cornwall, so I am hoping for a sunny one!

If anyone can give me a local forecast I would appreciate it :)

  10. Went for a walk along the prom at Barry Island this evening to find that Gavin and Stacey was being filmed! It was really interesting to watch (would not like to be an actor, as they kept repeating the same 5 mins worth of scene). All the cast had bathers on, Rob Bryden had a dressing gown brought to him as soon as possible, and had someone holding an umbrella over him. Dont know why he needed the umbrella as it was 6.30 and the sun was'nt hot! Nessa was wearing black boots, fishnets, skirt and t shirt (just what you need for the beach), plus there were about 6 elvis impersonators
