  1. Can I ask for some good thoughts for Ray's Dad please- he was fine this morning- had breakfast, watching the racing on TV -went to sleep and now they can't wake him up and they don't know why!! :mecry: :mecry:

Please send some Wake up Ray's Dad thoughts.

  2. Have you tried the various "premium" foods?

    Like Acana

    or

    Orijen

    or

    Taste of the Wild

    Purina do a hydrolysed diet.

    Royal Canin too.

    Found this too:-

    Other Options to Consider

Hydrolyzed protein diets are one option owners of dogs with food allergies can try, but they may not work in all cases. If your dog’s symptoms do not improve with a hydrolyzed protein diet, you may want a commercially prepared hypoallergenic diet that features unique sources of protein and carbohydrates that may not create an allergic reaction in your dog.

If a hypoallergenic diet doesn’t work, you may want to try a bones and raw food (BARF) diet, which uses a combination of foods similar to those wild dogs eat, such as:

    fat

    muscle meat

    organ meat

    bones

This omnivorous diet is believed by many to be healthier for your dog, but it may require an unusual meat source to be successful for your dog, which may be allergic to beef or poultry since both are commonly used in commercial pet foods.

  5. Sorry we are both still in shock- last night we all went to bed, but @ 2:30, Susie was restless and distressed- a visit to the vets and enough medicine to settle a horse, we brought her home - hoping that she'd sleep and show us that we were stupid to worry, but @ 05:00 this morning a little girl left a big hole in our hearts & lives. :mecry: :mecry:

    Sleep tight Susie.

  6. Latest update

The Dr's treating Ray's Dad are totally baffled - they thought they had him sorted, but clinically he's deteriorated and they at the moment have him on dialysis and are going to see how he is - if he arrests again the decision has been made not to resuscitate him again :mecry:

He has picked up from this morning though - so we are not giving up.
