  1. I'm not on the internet much these days, but just wanted to tell all the people who remember my fantastic girl, that she passed away last night after a week of fighting a serious infection, mixed with her heart problems. I know that many of you followed her initial story.

This was just one battle too many.

  2. (a recent poster in RMF comes to mind) and they will never be happy no matter what is done.

THats me I take it, lots of things make me happy, but I can say that being on here is not one of them, thank you to the person who alerted me about this, same old same old.

If you always do what you've always done you always get what you've always got.

  3. I think for me I have a limited amount of time, my main focus etc is rescue and trying to raise money for it, this board has little rescue involvment, no fundraising, no auctions etc.. I think it has no focus over than a bunch of people who enjoy a chat.. which is fine, but doesn't bring new people in or attract people involved in rescue...

  4. I noticed some people wanted collars, please post below if you are interested, look at my photobucket (there are two albums on there) and post what you want below. I find it hard to keep up lately, but am spending the whole weekend.

You can get paint on stuff

  7. Lots of classic heavy rock mixed with psychadelia, Southern Rock like Blackfoot, Molly Hatchett etc etc

English Folk, Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta, Opera especially Verdi, Baroque especially Telemann and John Dowland, Gregorian Chant type stuff, some Country especially Johnny Cash

I love Bluegrass, 1930's danceband, the Andrews sisters,

At the moment loving Fleet foxes

  8. I do think it's a brill way for a rescue to bring in money if they have the space , as well as providing an understanding place for a holiday for people with odd dogs like ours..and we would have taken a dog home if ALfie had got on with her so would raise homing

  9. Yes they rent the caravan out, was really good for our "bizarre hounds" to be around dogs who would have a pop back at them in a telling off way rather than an aggressive way.

We went to a cider place, where the guy selling it had sampled way to much of his own product... he had a small very over the top jack russel called buster, who when we went ot leave jumped into the front of the van, over the seats and into the midst of our 5... doors open and me and mark frantically try to grasp the little ball of horror ad stop our dogs eating him , while drunk cider man shouts buster and falls over. We grab dog finally just before he is inhaled by Riley, help drunk man up and give him a happy unharmed buster.. and then drive off

  10. Me and Mark had a wonderful week with the dogs at HWAR rescue, staying in their caravan... we had a great time touring the wonderful, shropshire and Herefordshire countryside and bringing home a cider lake. Dogs are walked off their feet.

Visited friends who live in the Clun Forest up a mountain.

All in all would thoroughly recommend a holiday with the dogs their

  11. Ongoing conversion of ex police transit into dog friendly campervan is going apace.

galley fitted with fridge, cooker etc, undervan water tank and waste water pipe done. Fitted double bed, with cupboards under and above nearly done, didn't want a bed made out of cusions like on campervans I 've tried to sleep in in the past.

Just lighting to finish, diesel night heater to fit and removal of the big air con unit.

It came with excellent fans already fitted, with an extractor unit on.

Now just have to sell ginormous trailer tent, it was great for dogs, but Mark's back problems means he can't put it up anymore
