Blue ya monkey, behave yourself or you’ll be starved of girlie company
Collies r best they are all gorgeous
Looking forward to more Milo piccies
Clare are the blood results back hope they are ok
Ladies calmmmmmmm down im sooooo not buying a horse yet
Ufff could be a while as the dogs are draining me atm with vets bills which could get a hell of a lot worse over the next month but thanks for the info on costs.
Anyway lesson today was on you know who (Magic), he was a bit sluggish at start of lesson and dropped back into trot from canter which isn’t like him but he soon perked up. Was bending really nice on a 20 metre circle though one of my feet kept slipping through the stirrup, instuctor said she thinks I wasn’t sitting evenly in the saddle. Last canter was better though I have to really concentrate on keeping my heel down.
There was show jumping on afterwards and we stayed to have a nosey, have to say, even though I don’t know much, I could see quite a few people winding horses up and just being what I thought was a bit rough. Some of the horses refused at some jumps and were given two or three hard smacks with the whip, I mean is that necessary? Can horses not be taught with positive reinforcement like dogs? Is there a reason they refuse? Should the jumps be lowered and then built up when the horse is happy rather than just whipping them?
I might have rose tinted glasses on when it comes to riding but id rather be like that than some of those people….poor horses
Anyway heres a piccie of Magic and I tonight just taken by one of the lads at the yard while he was sitting watching, he had to clear off as Magic was being silly every time we were passing him, friend taking her camera tomorrow so hopefully we'll get better shots.

Gooster don’t you just feel on top of the world after a good lesson, great news he got the all clear from the physio, hope your arm isn’t too sore. Are you confident enough to ask nasty woman what her problem is
Clare well done, test looks soooooo controlled, how you ever remember it all is beyond me and hope you get to the bottom of Lokis offness
at Bumble stable bucking, glad hes brighter
Glad Milos food is making a difference.
Angel some people are just idiots, horses are just not the thing to be messing about with hope no-one gets hurt.
Poor Trooper lost his fight yesterday morning glad hes no longer in pain and suffering but that hes gone. He was 20 years old and a real gent
Lessons this week again on Magic (sorry will def try to get piccies this week so you can all see who im raving about), doing more pole work in trot and canter and working on strides.
Owner of yard asked me was I going to buy Magic, I asked would he part with him and he said he could be talked to Only a dream atm but sure you never know whats round the next corner.
Got details at yard of costs of livery etc so at least I know figures.
Can I just ask what you all reckon a horse costs per month for you all

Just started reading Warhorse.

Glad to hear Bumble is feeling a bit better but what a long time confined to stable
Gooster how did your lesson go today and hows Blues tail now?
Glad Loki is feeling better, there always seems to be something to worry about with horses, I dont know how you all cope
Milo such a difference in him now, gorgeous.
Lessons again this week on Magic, have I mentioned how fab he is  will def get a piccie this week of him.
He sometimes strikes off on the wrong canter lead on left rein though will do a flying change but gotta work on that.
As lessons are getting busier on a Saturday now with better weather a couple of the instructors said they will stay late so 3 of us can have a private lesson one evening as well as our Friday afternoon lesson, means we wont be held back in a larger lesson at weekends. Roll on Tuesday

Sorry you've lost your precious girl
:GroupHug:

Hmmmm I think i'd stay here on the north coast of Northern Ireland, buy a fabulous house with plenty of land for my dogs and horses, an indoor and outdoor school, how about a cross country course (seeing as we're only dreaming) stables with x amount of horses, a private instuctor to help with my riding, horse lorry and a couple of staff to look after the stables.

More gentle for Bumble, you and Annie :GroupHug:
-
Ahhhh no poor Bumble and poor you
So hope you see improvement over the next 24 hours
Hope nothing serious to worry about with Blue and he soon perks up and your boots are very smart, I like them
CP how scary was that hope yours and Milos scratches are healing.
Clare piccies are fab and Loki looks so handsome as usual
Poor Trooper isn’t doing well at all, instructor today said he has lost a lot of weight and shes worried he wont make it
Lessons are going great, on Magic again yesterday and today This week we’ve been working over a straight line of 8 poles in trot, keeping a steady pace and making sure we are in the centre, then into canter and over 2 canter poles. Also going figures of eight, three looped serpentines and 20 metre circles working on their bend and straightness.
Have been watching Team Fredericks In Control and boy do they make it look easy

Keep the piccies coming can never have enough westie piccies
And some of Cliffy too

She sits very much like Alfie (scottie) does, a few of my friends have compared him to a teddy too
-
Every house needs a westie and good on you for bringing her home when she needed someone
Look forward to loads more piccies and updates
She is gorgeous
-
Hehe sounds like a typical fiesty little westie
Hope Cliffy forgives her and they become bestest friends
-
So so sorry
:GroupHug:

Poor Bumble, hope the physio gives you some good news and Annie wont be too stressed.
Gooster glad your saddler is coming at long last and Blue doesn’t lose any more of his tail.
Lesson on Saturday was on Magic, we were working on staying in a straight line in walk, trot and canter between two rows of poles, also working on light seat and shortening and lengthening strides.
On Magic again yesterday, doing walk to canter, getting him to bend properly and ended with jumping onto mound.
Really really really like Magic
-
Sorry it wasnt better news
Give Boo a gentle
-
Fingers crossed for positive news and give Boo a gentle
-
Clare your OH must be a real sweetheart
CP piccies look great
Blue and his friend look very content
Bradley & Kiki
Todays lesson on Magic was brilliant, he is a very responsive little guy (think only about 14.2 so tiny compared to Boysie & Trooper) but feels like a rocket. Cantering figures of 8, then jumping up onto the mound starting in trot then canter. On him again on Friday, cant bloomin wait
-
Definitely doesnt look like hes rushing in the video How do you ever remember the course, think i'd go well offcourse
-
Ohhhhhhhhh not much bigger than a can
Gorgeous
-
Ohhhhhhh she is adorable and looks so ikkle
Could we have a piccie of her beside a can of beans to compare sizes
