    Group: 1

    Number of rats: 7

    Sex: Female

Age(s): Ruby and Beauty a few months old, doe kittens born 8th February 2010

Name(s): Ruby and Beauty, kittens – no names

Colours: Ruby - agouti self (brown), Beauty – black, female kittens – black, champagne/ silver fawn, agouti

    Neutered: No

Reason for rehoming: Part of a larger rescue from another rescue centre. Bred by previous owner and therefore likely to be inbred, as all of the rats are related. They were kept in tiny hamster cage. Ruby and Beauty arrived here pregnant, Ruby gave birth to one kitten, but rejected it, Emma tried to hand rear it but sadly little Faith only survived a couple of days. Beauty gave birth to eleven healthy kittens, 5 does and 6 bucks (the bucks, fingers crossed, have already been reserved). All will be ready to be rehomed end of March/early April.

Medical problems: Given the inbreeding and conditions they were kept in they may have health issues later in life. However currently fit and well.

Will the group be split: Yes (but no lone rats), also please consider Ruby and Beauty, they are only a few months old themselves.

    Transport available: Locally

Other: All animals will ideally be re-homed within the local and surrounding areas to allow for home checks. If you are further afield you may still be considered. An animal application and contract form will need to be completed please, as well as a monetary donation. Please see website for further details Rehoming section link

  10. The Pets at Home rattie has been returned as she test bites and the new owner did not feel confident to her handle her. So they have adopted Annie instead.

So still looking for homes are Pippin, Angelina and the PAH girl (a black and white dumbo).

The group may change again because we had thirteen more rats arrive yesterday so after we have assessed them all we might try to introduce these three to some of them. I will update the post as soon as I have more information.

I have added a few new pictures (sorry none of the PAH lass):
