    Oh Merledogs I'm so glad you still have your sense of humour - or is it hysteria?? :) xx

     

    A little while ago I shared the news that I am to be a Granny for the first time in 2013 (daughter in law). Well, it transpires that I am also going to be a Granny for the second time as well (daughter) !! It's like waiting for a bus - nothing for ages then they start popping out all over the place!! 2013 is going to be a very busy year!!!! :) :) :)

    Good morning to everyone. I am on the recovery side of flu but still very shakey. It's been a tough week but my kids have been leaving supplies of paracetamol and lemonade on the front door step for me - I must check to see if there is a cross painted on the door!! My eldest did venture in to make me a cup of tea one day! I've watched lots of Christmas films - which also included a lot of rubbish ones - but have yet to complete my Christmas shopping. My future son in law is proving the most difficult to buy for - I hope I am strong enough by the weekend to get out and source something!!

     

    Merledogs - I went to grammar school in Chorley and avoid it like the plague now!

     

    Rant warning

     

    A guy I know has bought his son a pup for Christmas. The guy has not worked for two years (genuine medical reasons) and is up to his ears in debt. The son is 16 and will be joining the Army next year. It's a bitch pup and, googling locally, he must have paid £360plus for it. I am totally convinced he's bought it to breed. I am so so angry.

    It is indeed cold but very beautiful here on planet earth today. Jack has even worn his jacket for his morning walk!

     

    One of my friends battled cancer for 11 years but sadly lost her fight at the end of November and we waved her on to the next great adventure. Yesterday I received a Christmas card written by her before she left. Organised to the end. xxx

    I have a job!! The elf service chose 8 jobs for me and I picked the one I preferred, was interviewed and got it!! Same salary as I am on now but purely Admin. The best bit is the department may move back to HQ in town so I should be able to walk to work. It only comes in effect from April 1st so until then I have to continue in the job I;m in which is much more interesting than Admin! If no one has my job by January I will be able to apply for it!!! You couldn't make it up!!

    I can't understand how they could throw Helen out and then Rosemary. The only one worth watching for now is David - and he is on my Christmas Wish list( I don't want anyone to be disappointed on Christmas Day) just so he can keep my campfire going through the cold winter nights..........heheheheh!! :)

    Morning!! Happy Thursday hugs to everyone :)

     

    I have lodged an appeal against my job change with the backing of my boss and her boss and his boss (so many managers - would that be the elf service??) There are so many unhappy people in Cumbria just now and a good portion of them have gone to emplyment lawyers (thanks Murtle x). One of the others in my team has not been offered a post at all (even tho her job does not change in the new structure) and HR have said they are skipping the next stage - which is unfilled Cumbria jobs open to at risk Cumbria people only - and will go to open competition. You couldn't make it up. The head of the new structure is not best pleased and I am confident we will see development and changes pretty soon. Keep calm and sparkle!!!! On top of that I made an almighty c*** up over a meeting yesterday meaning the agenda was half an hour earlier than the room and I was late! Doh........

     

    It's my Friday today - I have a day's leave tomorrow to go Chrissy shopping with Baby Girl and collect the WEDDING FROCK!!!! The wedding is not til September and the shop have offered to store it but my Wedding Room (spare room) is prepared and safe from prying eyes or anyone wanting to try it on (our worry if left in shop).

     

    Must go and take Jack Daniel out - eau de farting staffy ........... :)
