  1. Positive thoughts for Bonnie. I hope she has happy and painfree days with you. Make the most of them and create some wonderful happy memories you can look back on in years to come.

Everyone knows their own dogs and knows whats best for them. Nobody has a right to criticise someone else when they've made a decision which is best for their dog :GroupHug:

  2. My Yorkie girl, Pheobe, is incontinent. She is on Propalin and it works wonders for her. She does still have the odd accident, but not every night, so its not a chore for us to clean up.

Our biggest problem was she hated being crated and loved to sleep on our bed (she really is a daddys little girl). Shes the only one we allowed to sleep on our bed at night and, through a lot of perserverence, she now sleeps by the side of our bed.

I would definitely go to the vets and seek their advice, as it could be Propalin will work for your girl too. :flowers:

  3. Thanks for your responses. :flowers:

I got some arnica cream for her and it worked wonders. I have also applied cold compresses to it regularly, but shes not impressed with it (even wrapped it in a towel, so it wouldn't be too cold against her skin!). The bruising has really gone down and the swelling has too, although not completely. Still keeping an eye on it, but there doesn't seem to be any lasting affects. If the swelling hasn't gone in the next few days though, I think I'll take her in, just for piece of mind.

  4. I'm not sure how shes done it, but knowing Ruby it was in excitement of someone walking by the house and shes probably fallen off one of the chairs in the conservatory and caught her leg.

Its very red and at first I thought it was grazed, but closer examination of it, looks red and a bit bruised - the skin definitely isn't broken. Shes got no hair there and the area (inside thigh) has swollen slightly. It doesn't appear to be bothering her (shes not licking it or limping etc and judging by the bombing up and down the stairs shes doing, it can't be hurting her too much  ) I am trying to stop her from doing that, but shes so damned quick

My first thought was to book her in to the vets tomorrow morning if it was still the same. However, my F-I-L has said there is nothing they can do other than say try and rest her and not let her bang it and the swelling will go down on its own.

What would the Fugees do? I certainly don't want to waste my time taking her down if there isn't anything they can do, but if there is something they can do I'd rather take her. She has had this kind of injury before, but without the swelling. I have given her an arnica tablet to help with the bruising.

  5. Wow, now thats a suprise!

Glad to hear you've made an honest beast of him Chris

  6. I'm looking to get a new phone and I really like the new Samsung Tocco. I've read loads of reviews about it and it seems a lot of people think its a fab phone, but some people have some concerns. I would like to stay with Orange, but I've heard sometimes the call is cut off for no reason on this phone with the orange network? I've also heard the camera isn't too brilliant (its a 5.0mp but the picture isn't meant to be too bad once uploaded onto your PC), while others say its great and some people have found texting a problem because of the touchscreen.

Has anyone in the Fugee world bought this phone, which network are you on and what do you think to it?

    Thanks :thumbsup_anim:

  7. Deep respect to you. 15 dogs and all harmonious - thats some going!

Well done on giving this girl her forever home - she truly is beautiful and so deserves that chance  Looking forward to seeing more pictures of her.

  8. I also run one of my own dogs (started her first competition this weekend) and although she didn't go clear, I was really pleased with her agility run. I think she may take some time to get a clear round, but we have fun, so thats all that matters! After all, she's nearly 13
  9. I run a collie for an older couple who can't run her because shes too fast for them. Shes a rescue girl and I've been training with her for a year.

This year we started to compete and she has done 4 shows in total. This weekend, she did 2 days of competition and we have come away with 5 clears, of which she got a 30th in jumping 1, 27th in jumping 2, 15th in helter skelter (rosette!), 12th in Agility (Rosette and her very first clear in agility!), and best of all.......

3RD in Snakes and Ladders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had the biggest grin on my face since I heard. Its fantastic!!!!!

  10. The best series for me was the one that Alex was in. It was brilliant that year. They've hit some dud patches since. I think they try and put too many weirdos in there these days.

I agree! Didn't watch it last night as it was my wedding anniversary and we went out for a yummy meal :) Don't think I missed much and probably won't watch much of it, just bits now and again. You watch, I'll end up being addicted and top poster on this thread
