  1. posting this from another forum

With only 2 and half weeks to Christmas chances are your busy writing your Christmas cards to friends and family.

I know I'm not the only one who ends up having a couple spare at the end and wanted to post about Post Pals which is asking people to send one extra card this year- to a seriously ill child or their sibling. For some of the children they will be in hospital, for some it will be for their last and for all they could use with some extra cheer and smiles sent their way!

All you have to do is log onto www.postpals.co.uk pick a child and pop a card wishing them a Merry Christmas in the post. Then sit back and know you made them smile

p.s we all know money is tight at the moment so if you can't afford to send a card, why not send an email or an e-card. It's free and will help brighten a childs day

    thanks

  2. hi Astrid

Right their website is www.watercressline.co.uk - there is also a vintage bus service on some days. There are the obvious specials like mothers day/christmas specials etc etc along with real ale evenings, sunday lunch service and saturday evening meals. Not sure if dogs are allowed on all of these though. The journey runs from Alton to Alresford and back again. Talking timetable tel no is 01962 734866 and the normal tel no is 01962 733810.

  3. This is a steam railway line with classic trains and the old stations - dogs are wlecome if they buy a "rover" ticket which is a pound and they can sit under the table or in one of the old first class carriages. We went the other week and it was very relaxing - cost us £25 for two adults and two kids. This is the Mid Hants railway near Alresford.

  4. The following dog was found in london area by the epping dog warden. He was taken into the police and is now safe in a local rescue. He seems well looked after and by rights should belong to someone. Any ideas would be great to reunite him with his owner before Christmas. Description as follows

Brown Brindle .......Neutered Male ........ White Chest and Paws

..........Face and Legs very grey ..... white splash behind his head

.......... rear dew claw ....wearing black leather studded collar with half

barrel tag ....... elderley happy bouncy boy
