  1. Morning :wavey:

Our snow has all gone too, but we don't have rain. I don't know if it rained in the night, I was asleep :D but when I let the dogs out, I was surprised to see the snow all gone. It's very mild here but quite windy.

Sending positive healing thoughts to the poorly puppies :GroupHug:

  2. Cindere has is your knee

Thank you for asking, my knee/leg is much better now, it still aches if I'm on my feet too long, but I'm definitely over the worst of it.

Hope didn't make it and now her sister Cleo isn't well. Vet can't confirm parvo but now suspects it.

    Oh, I'm so sorry :mecry:

We had proper snow last night for the first time this winter. Gonna have some fun later with the dogs. I let Kinky out and instead of doing her usual escape routing, she walked to the end of the house and came straight back

    :cheer: for Kinky cat.

We didn't get the snow last night that had been forecast. We got rain which has just smoothed the surface of the snow that was on the ground, making the paths lethal this morning

  3. Morning :wavey:

I hope Jayne has a great holiday and doesn't miss Mr G too much :D

Owl - I hope that Wispa can come home soon and that it's not Parvo that the other doggies had.

I've had a poorly leg for a few days, but it feels a lot better this morning, it still feels a bit delicate, but it's good to be (almost) pain free :)

I'm fed up of the snow. Due to the snow and my bad leg, I've not been out of the house since Sunday.

  4. Morning :wavey:

We've still got snow on the ground. Not sure how bad the roads are as I never ventured beyond my door yesterday. If it doesn't snow today, I will take the dogs for a walk in the fields again, they've loved their last few snowy walks. The snow has been colder than normal snow (IYSWIM) so they haven't got ice balls between their pads. If it warms up a degree or so, the snow will become too wet & they will get sore paws :(

On another note, I've put photos of my extension on PB, so if anyone wants to see them, here they are: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v617/cindere528/Extension/ :)

  5. Good morning & Happy New Year to everyone :pinkie:

The dogs & I were asleep well before midnight, but I was woken up by fireworks  . They didn't wake the dogs up though, and I got back to sleep quite quickly.

    It's a beautiful morning here & I have a friend coming for lunch :)

Have a great day everyone :)

  6. RMF : I hope I don't bring anyone else down but I feel truly awful at the moment. My boss was really off with me yesterday. To add insult to injury I had a conversation with my male colleague who sits next to me about religion and I told him I was an atheist and we had a discussion around it. It wasn't until after that I realised that my boss is actually quite religious, so I have probably offended him. My colleague asked me about my beliefs (can't remember how the conversation started) but didn't say what he believed. I am worried now that I offended both of them.

I'm sure your boss & colleague won't be offended, as Suzeanna said, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. In fact, no matter how much people criticise this country, that is one of the truly wonderful things about the UK - we are all allowed to have our own religious beliefs (or even to have no religious beliefs at all).

  7. I hope your knee surgery was successful & you're up & about very soon.

One of my pet hates on the television is certain politicians who keep saying "crate" instead of "create" (so they're going to "crate" new jobs - like a puppy I suppose :laughingsmiley: )

I also hate it when people on the news say "vunrable" instead of "vulnerable". It's no wonder a whole generation can't spell when people mispronounce so many words.

  8. Thank you for recommending those mats Griff, they have to be the bargain of the year.

Murtle - my mats are purely functional as they have various corporate logos on, however, one has a red background with a green Christmas tree on it. Guess which one I'll be using first! :D

  9. I ordered some dirt trapper mats on Saturday. I can't remember who posted the link, but the mats have just arrived :). I'm chuffed to bits. I wanted them for my extension to save having muddy paw prints all the time.

The mats I ordered were the ones with logos on, they were £30 for 6 mats, each mat being 5ft x 3 ft. I shall have to cut them to size, but what a bargain they were!. I was going to order 3 mats @ £18, but I would have had to pay £9 p&p, so that would be £27 for 3 as opposed to £30 for 6. No brainer then :)

For some reason, my poujd sign isn't working :-/

  10. Morning :wavey:

It was a bit damp & drizzly earlier, but looks like it's going to brighten up,

Carol Service at Church this evening, that should get me in the mood for Christmas. Let's face it, something needs to get me in the Christmas mood, cos it's not happening yet, despite having put the tree up & written the cards.

    Bah Humbug :mad1:

  11. Turned the oven on for dinner as I really fancied a nice hot pie with lashings of thick gravy after a long wet horrible day. Only to find the oven doesn't heat up anymore. Luckily the hob works so was able to cook pasta and sauce. I have 3 days to get it fixed - one of those being a Sunday.

Do you live alone? If so, I suggest you get yourself a Halogen Oven. I bought mine about 5 years ago and hardly ever use the big oven nowadays. Halogen ovens are great for cooking meals for one.

  12. Morning :wavey:

Not keeping up very well at the moment, due to building works, Avon deliveries and plumbing problems :confused02:

I've just had a quick skim read back and those dirt trapper mats look just what I need for my extension, I may be ordering some very shortly :)

Gooster - your icy skid sounds very alarming, I hope you're not too shaken up by it.

    I've forgotten everything else :(

Sending :GroupHug: all poorly people and animals

  13. Morning :wavey:

After yesterday's arctic temperatures, it's mild & grey & foggy today, although it looks as if it might brighten up later :)

The builders have arrived, I can hear them outside. I suppose I'd better get up & make a brew for them.

Hope everyone has a good Monday :)
