  1. I have had a thought! (I know it doesnt happen often) But....

If we were to walk down the Thames Path from Wallingford to Benson (3ish miles) then we could stop at Benson Lock for cake and coffee (dogs are welcome outside) and that would be good advertising right?

If we go on the other walk then we may not see anyone and that might spoil the point of raising awareness. What do y'all think?

  2. Sorry all that I didnt make a thread sooner and it is quite late in the day to be doing so now but nevermindrolleyes.gif

The little madam was out helping me mow the lawn (tripping me over and standing in the way). I realised after a few moments that she was no longer interested in me and went to investigate when I found her scoffing some mushrooms growing on the border of our garden. I made her go inside and within minutes she is drooling everywhere! I got on the phone to the vets and she then had a bit of a toiletting accident all over the bathroom floor (at least she knows where to go)

We drove her to the vets while she was vomitting in the OH's car and she was admitted straight away. I swear her face is the most pathetic face in the world when she realses that she'll be left somewhere.

Anyway after an evening being looked after and fed charcoal she was allowed home and is currently fast asleep on the sofa none the worse. The vet told me she was the noisiest one in that evening which makes me think there was nothing wrong at all, she was just looking for more attentionlaugh.gif

Apologies for all the worry I feel very guilty for not spotting the mushrooms. Ruby however is very nonchalent so I doubt you'll be getting an apology from her anytime soon!tongue.gif

Many thanks for all the well wishes, I am sure they all helped get er home quickly x

  3. I've just found an Oldies club bandana in my cupboard if you want it.

It's missing the strip of material that holds it around the kneck but I'm sure you can improvise

It has the Oldies Club logo on and Rehome An Oldie written underneath

Let me know if you want it :)

  4. Unfortunately one reserve fell through when the family had a change of heart, and really no serious interest since. He is such a dear little soul and he is getting frailer as time goes on, it would be wonderful to see him settled in a forever home sooner rather than later wub.gif

Oh Fee stop it or I'll have a house-full like you laugh.gif

He is lovely, I'm so often confused why it takes a perfect little dog so long to find a good home. Hopefully he wont have to wait much longer

  5. I received an e-mail from Daisy's lovely owner Lucy yesterday giving some sad news

"She had a biopsy on a lump last week which came back as showing mast cells (a type of skin cancer)

She went in for an op on Wednesday. They did a chest xray first, and found the cancer has spread to her lungs, so they recommended that she didn't have the operation.

But dear old Daisy is still the happy dog that she was – is still running a lot – if not more, and just the same happy dog.

She's doing lots of tail wagging now, and wraps me round her little paw with those *looks*!

I suppose she gets very slightly tireder after her walks now than a year ago.

They can't give me any idea how long she's got, but I expect it's months, maybe a year?

She must be wondering what's going on, tho', as she's even more spoilt now and getting so many cuddles!"

Lucy is not feeling up to coming on here and talking just yet as I'm sure we can all understand (but I have had her permission to let you all know)

Please send as many good thoughts as you can, Daisy was so lucky to find Lucy (and vice versa) and I'm devastated that this has happened now that they're

    so happy together
