  1. i have been contacted by a lady who has been caring for a elderly gent who has passed away leaving behind a border collie there are no family so she has taken this dog in, but she only has 2 weeks max to move her on as she is moving herself,

the dog is a 2 (ish) female border collie, speyed and has been spoilt, so will need a little training, is currently living with her cat but will chase, she has never really had any contact with children as the elderly gent lived alone and never really took her out nor did any kids visit

    PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP

  2. I am interested in this as I dose 4weekly to prevent fleas causing the dreadful reaction it does with one of our cats. I have tried so many other things, but the only thing that is helping him is using flea treatment every 4 weeks, if we go to 5 or 6 weeks, he gets all the scabs and itching back.

We have been advised by a normal vet (well a couple of them), a homeopathic vet and a dermatologist vet to dose 4 weekly (he has recently come off steroids)

If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas, I would be most grateful :flowers:

He doesn't have fleas, and the flat doesn't have fleas. we do however, back on to woodland which he loves to play and explore in - it does home hedgehogs, mice, deer, foxes etc.

i also have a allergic to fleas cat and would be interested to hear if anyone else has a alternitive, im currently using stronghold

  3. this is a cat that i transported to rescue, Thankfully she has been mirco chipped. she is a black long haired cat called Lina about 3yrs old. She is a good sized moggie and she came in as possibly pregnant, she escaped after just a few days with rescue in the Blackwater area of camberley surrey

  4. Hey Phoenix, I live in Chudleigh Knighton, how weird is that?

We got quite a bit but now tis all hard and frozen

got to go to Exeter tomoz to get Crimbo pressies, looking forward to that like a bullet in the head

i wouldnt brave it, haldon, telegragh ect are at a standstill

im in kingsteignton, so not that far from you

  5. im a home carer and this is a nightmare for us, nearly all my clients live right out in the sticks, tonight my round was in bovey tracey which i dont think has seen a gritter recently, my cars wheels were going forward but the car was going back, it was way over ankle deep in some parts

  6. Pretty sure that the first one might be a "Model-A Ford" The model A being the scene of Henry Ford's Triumph (First real mass production car - Triumph is a red herring maybe).

No idea on 2nd & 4th one, but the 3rd one is surely a reference to Bentley - With Bentley FC being the only car related football club which the wonders of Goggle could provide a link to when the clue was entered.....!

    Good luck!¬

  7. i've turned into a lurker/reader more than a poster, like others said, the board was slow and i got out of the habbit and lost track of who was who, i've never noticed any cliques or any frowning on rescue non rescue dogs.

i do read RMF and gone  or  or even  at the posts there but ive not posted, i thought RMF was just to post the random mundane things life throws at you and isnt a thread that needs conversation or answers :worried_anim:

i have missed the auctions though :)
