  1. Apart from the same as Wendy, mine used to be getting up at 5am heading over to take Easta out for a ride with Mac and Abbi, heading over to the gallops. Wind in my hair, sun on my back, feeling free and like we're flying.

I miss being on that yard :(

  2. Last bandage change for Duke (hopefully) so I am having a mini party, that was most definitely not fun and the aches prove it. There was no more drainage other than the small amount the vet got out and he's sound again now so only a few more days box rest. Not sure whether to try plugging the two 'holes' with cotton wool when he goes out though? I always worry I won't get it all out again

Hope Dukes foot continues to improve. I'd not use Cotton wool to pack it as you can get bits in it. I pack mine with strips of poultice or lint cloth soaked in hibiscrub. I also use some pretty potent foot stuff that is for sheep  its comes from the agricultural merchants and its great, I can't think what its called for the life of me though... but hibiscrub works just as well. :D

  3. I did feel a bit better for two days and then my period started so now I feel wiped out again and am lying on the sofa unable to do anything. I am meant to be riding Newt before going to Ely forthe weekend which has now all been canned! :(

I've reduced my tea intake as it makes my period pain worse. But I am on a Vit C and multi vit supplement, I can't drink alot of orange juice as I have an intolerances to Citric acid.

I think there is something else going on thats causing the anemia as well Lindsay, I have had anemia before which I was told was due to poor diet and being vegi but I'm not vegi now and eat alot of green salads/raw vegi's still so it has to be something more than just anemic due to poor diet.

Am at the doctors again next week for scan results and more bloods being taken for more tests!

  4. My job has been advertised internally... the worrying thing is

    1: I'ven ot resigned

2: Noone told me it would be

3: Noone told my boss it would be

4: Its my job but working in the IT organisation not for UK team....

5: It looks to be based in Germany even though its Head of UK IT PRocurement??? Sounds like they have someone lined up to me for it already and its not me.

  5. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/Sas...GizzyandTaz.jpg

Some of you may remember Taz and Giz.

Well Giz is looking for a home again :mecry:

Unfortunately he and his brother never settled together and Gizzy was intent on being an outdoor cat which isn't wise when you're declawed! So we have decided to split them up and hope that in a secure only cat home Gizzy will settle down to a nice retirement home!

    He is 13 years old.

He is a lovely affectionate, vocal boy. He is on steroids long term due to an autoimmune condition having had alot of tests. He also appears to have a chicken allergy and is best fed a hypo allergenic dry food rather than anything wet as it give him diarrohea.

Giz is the one on the right in the photo. Giz is currently in foster care in Kent and subject to our usual checks etc for any prospective home.

He is a really lovely boy and deserves a loving home of his home :mecry:

  6. Does anyone else have iron deficient anaemia.

Do oyu know if its hereditary?

I've had my bloods back and my haemoglobin level is a little low but my serum ferretin level is very low anything below 20 is anaemic and I'm at 10. Normal range is up to 150... so thats prett low.

But it accounts for most of my symptoms. I'm at the hospital tomorrow and the doctors again on friday but just wondered if anyone knew a bit about it?

  7. Oh good grief... Dave... erm well its marginally better than Gold Kitten.

I'm going over tonight so will try and get some photos of MsB. Apparently it was all action last night so we'll see what today entails and then get her books for her scan in 15 days.

I'd forgotten how stressful this whole thing is!

  8. Milly don't you worry, you're Aunty Sarah always has a spare bed for you when you get tired of these nasty taunts of your Mum!

Bless her, shes is such a sweet heart really... bossy but lovely.

  9. #OMG... these pics should have a health warning! I love this breed so much and have always said my next dog will be a spin by which time I'll be living somehwere that can cope with one.
