  1. Not been on for a while as I'm stupidly busy with work and now having 4 horses to tend its chaos!

Adding ot that my intent to start competing again!

So today our lovely Mr.Newt went to his first ever dressage competition and came 5th! Had we been doing Trailblazers we'd be through to second rounds... so am very pleased. However now I have to be the jockey rather than Steve who helps me out in the week. :unsure:154766_10150090308844579_758694578_7260613_304659_n.jpg

I think you'll agree he has changed a little bit!!

  2. Hilarious!

I find training my Bengals similar to dogs has more effects than anything else! Jake my norty Bengal knows hand signals. A flat hand to stop him jumping up on something and a pointy finger if hes misbehaving will stop him in his tracks!

  3. Mac is going in for an op on Wed to remove some growths for further analysis. He has petit mal seizures so I am pretty worried about him going under GA.

He has got 8 cysts that have grown all over his body but the one on his backside has grown over the last two weeks so really needs to be removed and analysed.

I am hoping its something and nothing, but its really stressing me out.

  4. Definately no new saddle on the cards, unless the I win the lottery

They actually feel okay when I jump, and I think if I took them up anymore my knee would be over the knee roll, the saddle is VSD because of his large shoulders, thinking about it saddler said she would never recommend a jumping saddle for him because of that, but I would love a proper dressage saddle, now look what you have started :D

So now isn't the time to mention I've just invested in a N-gage dressage saddle for Easta then?

  5. Medivet

Well it seems they're taking it quite seriously.

One of my practises uses them for out of hour services. I use 3 practises and the one that uses Medivet is purely routine vacc for foster cats nothing else as they're cheap.

The other 2 I know alot of the vets personally and I think thats important. Mind having my equine vets mobile numbers and making him drive all over the country to vet horses maybe stretching that relationsihp somewhat!

  6. Been and taken some photos of my friends mare and foal today.

  7. As someone who is bi-polar and have spent the last 13 years on and off medication, I would suggest get some legal advice.

your illness may well be covered under the DDA which means your employers has things they need to do to facilitate you doing your job. I don't know the full details but a Legal person will be able to help you or in fact Citizans Advice.

People sturggle to understand how dibilitating depression can be and think your just a bit 'sad' whichm akes it tough on partners etc. Maybe get your partner to coem to counselling to help him understand what you're going through.

the one thing I learnt after spending too long in a relationship which was controlling and emotionally abusive was to be selfish and look after myself. I didn't and my depression went from bad to worse, only the actions of my wonderful Aunt means I'm still here today. But it was a wake up call and breaking free, doing what I needed to do was hard but I don't ever look back. It took 2 years to escape and be free but the lesson for me was I've not been on tablets since, I hold down a full time senior level role and my 'episodes' are much more manageable today without the emotional rubbish I had in my private life.

Work might be the reason for your depression, but be selfish and try to identify is it the only thing?

  8. Hi all, budget Ho?? What on earth is that?

Hope everyones four hoofed friends are well, sorry to hear about Bumble.

My clan are fine, Newt has had a set back due to back issues but generally doing well.

And...... we have a new addition arriving at the weekend. So may I introduce you to Feebe

    Phoebe02.jpg

She is 2 years old and standing at about 16.2hh, shes KWPN by Rubinero out of a Gribaldi mare. Having grown up dreaming of Black Beauty and Zorro to finally have my own stunning black mare is a dream come true. Lots of work to do but I am looking forward ot having a youngster to back again.

Going to be a busy summer

  9. Earl looks lovely.

Mine are rugless, Easta has been for about 2 months now.

Newt and Blondie for two weeks. Newt is big grey beast and looks like a bog monster but hes really pleased to be without a rug on.

And to be honest hes not as bad as I thought he would be.

  10. Fyfe stone fireplace?? Is that what its called? I don't think I can type what I've been calling it, but I can now tell everyone 'we have a fyfe stone fireplace don't you know?'

I'd not thought what it was going to be recycled as yet.... but we need alot of hardcore to sort the stable floors out!

Yes George was going to be making a guest appearance in what will be Wendy's room, but now I may have to put him up in pride of place somewhere else.

We've just go back from meeting our neighbours and having a drink in the pub. The village seems pretty pleased about our plans and quite a few have offered help. Met one of our neighbours who is a TV Camera man, seemed quite interesting.

i will be taking lots of pictures, I'll need to remind myself of the pain and suffering that we're due to start so whenever anything major comes up in the future it seemsl ike nothing compared to this.

I don't think it will really feel real until we get the keys, its not really sank in yet, as I never thought it would happen .

  11. It looksl ike we might not get the keysn ow til next week but here are some photos of our new house, its an old dairy farm, with cowshed and small paddock which will soon be my dream home with stables and menage!

I am absolutely gobsmacked to have got it, property in the hamlet is really expensive normally as its less than a mile from where I gre up thats a real bonus.
