  2. We had our first dance in a proper ring yesterday at WestGlen Funday ... really enjoyed and was soooo proud of our Oz   I forgot our routine after about 45secs but he just followed most of what I asked him to do instead. Heaven alone knows what it looked like .. but we both had a great time. The show was fantastic, organizers and folk there were so friendly and up for a laugh. At the end of the show we ALL went in together and did a bit of an jig .. it was a brilliant atmosphere. Think I've been bitten by the bug now. I am so chuffed after all these years to have a male who actually WANTS to dance with me  :D

  3. And today, she totally humiliated me when the man came to read the gas meter, he had to bend down and got some 'builders bum', she jumped up and licked his butt cleavage  :blush02: :sick01:  :laughingsmiley:

The worst thing is, I left the room in case he thought it was me

Nahhh ... the WORST thing would be if she licked your face straight after!! :suicide_anim:

Seriously though ... she is so gorgeous Jo .. and you reckon she won't be staying? .... mmmmm

  4.

I, on the other hand, am still not fine. I worry about his reactions, I get anxious sometimes. I still sometimes will drag him out of situations and I still get stressed when I see dogs I don't know when I'm out walking.

    Tracey xx

You .... on the other hand are only human and not superwoman .. so don't be so hard on yourself! Seriously though Tracey .... I wish you could see yourself as others .. and I am sure Cal and Katie see you. You do a brilliant job for both Cal and Katie ... you are intuitive and caring in the way you live with and train them. :liebe94:

The more you worry .. the more tense you will be. If you feel you are getting worked up ... exhale. Make sure that your knees are soft and you are moving through your hips. I promise it happens to everybody at some time and in some situations. Know your body and where it holds tension and you can change things. Remember that little Feldenkrais phrase Edie Jane and Robyn quote, "If you know what you do ... you can do what you want." It really is true. :)

  5. How about doing some Ttouch on him before you go into the ring ? where's Tracey I am sure she can advise on this.

Yes definitely .... it is something that can really help in this situation. :) Does he bark in training as well as in the competition ring? Sounds like he is barking from sheer excitement and exhuberance. TTouch ground work and body work will help him to be more 'present' and improve his focus. I would also perhaps try a face wrap and/or body wrap to improve his awareness of movement in the body and jaw.

  7. Beginning agility rather reminds me of learning to drive! Mind you I got the hang of driving a car but I don't think I will ever get agility right. My brain finds it impossible to remember not to waive around my arm on the opposite side to Rosie, to mind where I'm putting my feet, make sure I'm on the correct side of Rosie and say the names of the obstacles etc outloud - there's just too much to think about. I often say "tunnel" when actually I mean "tyre".

    Have fun with Oz!

Thankyou!! Thankyou!! You've made me feel sooooo much better about being such a klutz

  8. At long last Oz and I made it to our first agility lesson after a few false starts for one reason or another. He absolutely LOVED it ... while I have a major problem with co-ordination he just seemed to know what to do  Heaven knows how those of you who compete manage to do it at high speed ... I was struggling with a couple of jumps at a time!!  Apparently poor Oz is already following my body signals ... I say poor Oz 'cos the signals I am inadvertantly giving are very misleading!!  Anyway, it's great fun and we are going back in the hope that I'll get better at it.
