  1. Ruby, The trailhound Trust took you out of the pound with a day to go and you were a bag of bones and had scars all over you. You were so happy in our kennels and I arranged for you to go down to Norfolk with some trailies for re-homing. You had put on weight and were so loving and I had hoped you would go on to get a lovely home and have a lovely life. You got a lovely home to go to and went for spaying last week and unfortunately didn't recover from the anesthetic. Iam so sorry Ruby you were such a beautiful girl and we did our best for you.

    Run free Ruby

  2. Iam so sorry to hear this Sheila. I know that Bo lived to a grand old age but it doesn't help to ease the pain right now. He had a wonderful life and he was such a proud old boy. He had a dignified and peaceful passing and Iam thinking of you and Mike at this sad time. :GroupHug:

  3. I do remember Glor as he touched many hearts and what that poor dog suffered was beyond belief. He made a remarkable recovery and he went to the bridge knowing so much love. Iam so sorry that he has gone before his time but I know he had the best possible home he could have had. Run free Glor  and love to Sarah and all who helped and nursed Glor when he needed you most. :GroupHug:

  4. I have been making phone calls all afternoon to try and locate this lady who was knocking on doors with a lost dog. I have been in contact with the police and dog wardens in 3 areas of Devon and nobody has any reports of a lost dog being handed in. I spoke to a lady who lives in between Stoke Canon and Poltimore and she saw this dog as she was one of the houses this lady called at. She said the dog was very darn in colour but didn't look like a hound and didn't look thin and looked quite relaxed. I cant imagine Meg looking relaxed and well fed after being out for a month but Iam still following this up just in case as we have no other leads at the moment, Iam still hoping for a phone call as we have posters all around the area and I will update if anyone gets in touch.

  5. Please if anyone is in the area of Shobrooke Crediton Devon could they spare a couple of hours to look for Meg a trailhound who slipped her lead when she reached her desination last Wednesday 15th November. She has no knowledge at all of where she is and didn't even reach the house. Koshka is in the area at the moment and if anyone can help please call her on 07773 252350 Any further infomation please call me on 01995 643351

    Thanks

  6. I have just had a phone call from a lady in Wroxham Norwich who has lost her Lhasa Apso puppy from a secure garden last Friday 29th September. Gismo is only 4 months old and is an apricot colour with black bits on his ears and a black beard. He was wearing a blue flea collar at the time and unfortunately is not chipped. He was in a secure garden with a Norfolk Terrier and she had gone to take the children to school. When she returned Gismo had gone. The police and Dog Warden have been informed and posters are up in the area. If anyone has any information please contact Sarah on 07881 040881

    I have also informed Doglost.

    Thanks.

  7. Goodnight sweet Blue boy. You did such a special job in promoting trailhounds as pets all over the Country. We all tried so hard for you and thank you to everyone who has sent Reiki and healing thoughts over the past 12 months. You were Peter's special friend and companion and will be greatly missed by him.

Run free Blue and find all your trailie friends.

  8. My oldie trailhound had back and leg problems and I borrowed one of these collars to see if it helped. It did help my trailie a lot so I went ahead and bought one. I know they are a bit pricey but I thought it was well worth it. I know they dont work for every dog but it is well worth a try. I hope Sid's back is soon better.

  9. Oh Sheila, Iam so sorry for your loss of Blackberry. I know she was very precious to you. Run free Blackberry free from pain and seek out your friends who have gone before you.

    :GroupHug: to you and Mike.

  10. Play happily at the bridge Sammy. I know that you are now at peace. You couldn't have been in better hands than Sam and Mark and I know you had a lot of love and care this past week and a big thank you to Sam and Mark for this. My thoughts are with Debs and Ian at this sad time and also with Sam and Mark as I know they had taken Sammy into their hearts. I hope one day soon that they will find a cure for this dreadful condition that many dogs are afflicted with and I know only too well how distressing this condition is when it is your beloved pet.

Goodnight dear Sammy, you were a prince among trailies. :GroupHug:

  11. There have been no sightings at all of Jenny and this is very worrying. She knows the area well and Iam sure she would have come home if she could. There were a lot of walkers in the area at the time but nobody has come forward to say they have seen her. Her details are on doglost and we are still hoping for some news.

  12. No sightings of Jenny as yet. It is still thought that she could have been picked up as she is very friendly. Could everyone please keep their eyes open for this little girl in every area.
