Will pop over and get one of those beds for Suki. She is becoming an "older girl" now so am sure would like a bed like that.
Would have bought one of those foldable cat carriers but Max is 7kg so too big for it Will have to stick to the big bulky one for him and taxi it to the vets. Unless I decide to buy a pet buggy from Ebay.

Hope she is back out of hospital before Christmas

Got link in mail box but then got error message saying link had expired. Sent them an e-mail via the link in their e-mail and have just had to log back on as forgot to reserve something in Argos for dad. Already received a reply from the customer services which was very quick and the link they sent worked this time. Have managed to order a book for free! Hope it looks ok when it arrives as I just picked random photos of cats, Suki and nieces and nephews to put in it.

I am trying to do one now but for some reason, the link they are supposed to send across has not appearwed in my mail box yet. Thought I might have typed it wrong but definitely right, checked my spam filter and not in there either. Guess will have to check in tomorrow to see if link arrives. Got it already but won't let me checkout with code til activate using the link.

What a great idea. Have forwarded it onto some friends and will send some cards at the weekend.

I loved watching Bagpuss and Ivor the Engine. In fact, I have just bought the DVD set of the those plus the Clangers which I don't think I have ever seen.
If I remember correctly, Oliver used to do a lot for the Cat Chat rescue charity (Bagpuss is one of the patrons).

count me in. Got plenty of cards in ready to write out and even got stamps in.
Will pm you now.

Woolworths PLC began a massive sale on Friday — raising the stakes for its peers by slashing prices by up to 50 percent — after talks between the troubled retailer's financial administrator and a potential buyer failed.Woolworths is offering up to 50 percent off toys, 30 percent off Christmas trees and decorations and other reductions on DVDs and CDs.

Doesn't really say if the sale was only on for today or not. Tried looking on their website and it is closed for essential maintenance.

Had ordered some things from Pets at Home to add to the Secret Santa parcels. However, missed UPS man and their rubbish call centre did not bother to amend delivery address and so stuff won't be delivered to sister's til Monday. Promise to have parcels wrapped and posted on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I know you get a discount in Dorothy Perkins if you show them your NHS badge. Of course, I have managed to lose mine in the flat
Don't know what all the trusts are like, but I am getting all my Microsoft qualifications through work.

Sunderland Empire has Aladin on this year as follows:
The most mystical pantomime of all, ALADDIN, flies in on a magic carpet to the Sunderland Empire this Christmas with a star studded cast! Celebrated American actor and director, PAUL MICHAEL GLASER (Starsky & Hutch), appears as the ultimate panto baddie ABANAZAR, alongside superstar singer and actress SHEILA FERGUSON (The Three Degrees), as the mystical GENIE. Teenage heart throb, singer and finalist in ITV’s Grease Is The Word, ANTHONY KAVANAGH, will star in the leading role of the hero himself ALADDIN, together with star of Channel 4's hit comedy show Banzai, MASASHI FUJIMOTO, as the EMPEROR. -

Is a metro train an underground type train?
It's the Tyne and Wear metro. Sort of similar to an underground type train but most of the time, it's above ground. Goes from Sunderland to Newcastle Airport or South Shields to the coast next to Whitley Bay.

Will you be giving them any handouts of your slides so they have a reminder of what you discussed? (Just been learning myself how to do handouts from Powerpoint at work and they do come out ok)

E-mail; sent just now

Wasn't Brendan Cole the first celeb to leave the programme in the last series? He fell in love with his Toller I think.
It was Anton Du Beke who was on the show the last time. He loved his dog but didn't end up rehoming up him.

A used sanitary item which had ended up on our beach one time. Suki thought it would be great to bring it to me as a present.

For any Scottish relatives, check out Scotland's People website and you'll get loads there - my mother has done our tree right back and most of it through that site.
As for Orkney (I lived there for a while - you should visit!) contact the parish minister on Papa Westray and ask - they are good for keeping records up there and I'll bet there are loads of people who are distantly related to you still there!
Thanks for that. Will try to contact the parish minister as you suggested. Will have a look on that site as well.

Does this type of thing go on in the cat world as well.
The Siamese cats have changed with a more triangular face. The Persians have a more pushed in face as well (ultra). There are breeders of Old Type Siamese as well though and open faced Persians which I think have Ragdolls in them.
As for in breeding, I have seen pedigrees for Siberians on the website where father has been bred to daughter and has his own great grandmother bred to grandson or something. One name appeared several times in the pedigree for kittens where it should only appear once.
My pedigree lump of a cat has 0% in breeding and his breeder is very open on her site about when her cats have had their routine tests and the results. (one is HCM and can't remember the other test).
