  1. I created a new logo for TESCO

Current logo - Tesco - Every little helps!!

My New Logo for Warrington Tesco ....

Experience a new way of shopping at Warrington Tesco

Takes the shopping experience to outside like Alfresco

We have staff who shake their head and call us barmy

For spending on pet food for our 4 legged Armed..

Failing that, go and see the ladies on the fish stall,

They dont serve you fish, but entertain you with a brall!!

They will ignore your please for excuse me...

Were not so small that you can miss these queue of three..

If you experience really hasnt hit the mark..

Try getting a trolley from the staff on the car park..

For three of them are fighting and shouting

Dirty old men obscenities, sure Tesco rules must be flouted..!!

Now dont all rush to go to our Tesco..

Well this did happen  went to buy our monthly food shop on pet stuff and the woman at checkout called us mad for spending that amount of money on pets and she wouldnt do it... I was in no mood so retaliated, would you spend it on a kid and she said yes.. i said i wouldnt

Week after we go for top ups and went to fish counter where their was a full scale argument.. nearly called them fisherwoman but thought better not.. and they ignored all customers and just carried on until i got the manager and asked was their any chance i could be served before the store closed

Then to cap it all yesterday, again to do part xmas shop, got out of car, went to get trolley and three tesco staff really having a go at this bloke who was at the back of trolley bay, hence we couldnt get trolleys and they were full blown at it, I COME TO WORK TO WORK... BLAH BLAH BLAH DIRTY OLD MEN.. and so it continued.. after 5 mins i still stood their like a sardine and hubby trying to drag me away so got the manager again..

He rang me up and said ermmm im really sorry, were not all really like this here  at which point i said i think your staff need some training and burst into hysterics, bet he cringed when i complained about fighting staff again, but apparently they had lots of complaints..

Cant wait for the Christmas Shop pmsl..

I think it isn't just your Tesco that has gone wonky. I sent 17 year old and his Dad to the big one near here, and they hadn't taken an re-useable bags, so they had the Tesco freebies. They said they were glad to get out then, as the whole store had run out of disposable bags! He reckoned on there being a mutiny! Whoops!

Talking about men going around speculating on houses, we had a couple of lads at around 2 am a couple of weeks ago , trying all the car door handles on our drive, and our neighbour, then they went along the next street which we can see from upstairs. It is very scary watching someone doing that. We probably caught them on the camera at the front, but you now have to have a licence to record such stuff, so we are keeping quiet, or the lady at the Council house will make us get one! The local police know, and have used them for information in the past. Sometimes it is useful just to see the footage on our tv, even if they don't need to see it, as you can tie in events and bodies (alive) with specific times, which could assist them with their enquiries.

The police came, but didn't get out of their car, so we feel they missed them, but it is not nice seeing someone doing that at all.

  2. Jules those pictures of him just ooze "I am so happy" and you should remember him like that during your sad moments. I know you will have a lot of those sad times now, but gradually the happier times will be the ones you must remember.

Thanks for being so brave for him, and also for managing to put a thread on here about him. It is something I couldn't do so soon after I have lost a pet. :GroupHug:

You and he have made a lot of people happy just seeing those treasured 'photots. :flowers:

  3. There won't be anything we can do to help you feel better at the moment. You need to be strong and think of the good times you shared.

We are all here with our hearts aching with yours, please take care, and come onto the board if you need a chat. :mecry:

You are a good dog owner who knew her dog needed a long sleep. :GroupHug:

  4. Have had 6 babies, 4 were born at home. They were the best births, because it seems more natural in your own surroundings. Plus there are your own germs and less likely to get an infection from another patient!

Keep active as long as you feel comfortable, it will help you stay fitter for labour and a quicker recovery after the birt

Agree with what has been said so far, keep moving, stay as upright as possible, and if you think they will try to get you on the bed kneel at the side of it. Gas and air is fine if you feel you need some pain control, as it is out of your system (and baby's) very quickly. Remember to breath deeply and slowly, stay calm, and let your body do the work. Welcome each contraction, remember that each contraction will be bringing you closer to holding your baby!

Cook some meals ahead of time and store them in the freezer, not just for after the birth, but for those days when you are tired from being up in the night, or baby has been feeding non-stop because of a growth spurt.

Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy, people may start to give up their seats for you and watch out for those who cannot help pat the "bump"!

  5. It probably would make them worry. At the time we were between dogs, and therefore had none. The cats could go out if they wanted to. However nowadays they don't all go out, and we have a lot of foster cats in too, so it is a good job we have been done already.

  6. I have just read some of the comments written about the article which was published in the local paper.

All I can say is why did most of them bother? None are helpful or kind, and make you wonder are these people "for real"! Certainly doesn't make me want to visit the area with locals around like that.

I hope he comes home safe and sound as we all do on the Refuge!

  7. It is a very long time since we had it installed, but we did it almost as soon as we had moved in.

If I can recall, as long as all any delicate items, such as glass dishes are removed from window ledges and shelving units, there should be no real need to have any men in the house as when our was done, they drilled holes on the outside wall, and then filled the holes when all the foam was in.

These days they sometimes use foam beads which get blown in, but different companies will probably differ slightly. You will probably have to have a man in to do an inspection pre installation.

Don't worry, they will be used to having to deal with dogs similar to yours, and it is just another day at work for them. As long as they know you are concerned, and are doing your best to help facilitate their work, it will be appreciated.

  8. So sorry to read this now. Sorry it's late, falling over the dogs, which put me in a sling for a while, and then a holiday prevented me seeing this. But I have had cats lost to the road, we are down a lane, quiet one minute, and then very busy due to a large comprehensive school next door. Now any cats I keep as opposed to fostering, are not allowed outside. I have had the job of taking to the vet and burying them in our garden too many times. It is sooooo painful and meaningless.

I understand it was not the same circumstances for your poor little one, I remember how you tried to help him get better all that time ago. Hugs to all the family.

  9. I also missed this sad story.

It is never easy to lose a loved one, you are in shock now, and disbelief. As someone said earlier, to watch out for the getting worse signs of a much loved pet is also soul destroying, and you feel sick in the bottom of your stomach. (As I did nearly two months ago with my foster cat suffering from mouth cancer).

There is never an easier time to lose one you love, and all we can do is offer our support to you guys as you come to terms with your boy playing hard at the bridge.

    Take care.

  10. I was in your position on Monday with a foster cat who had a mouth cancer. When he could no longer manage to eat and drink on his own, we decided to let him keep his dignity and let him go.

I was with him to the end, and brought him home for the other animals he shared the kitchen with to say their goodbyes. He is now buried in our garden by my 20 year old cat that used to be our own pet, as opposed to the poorly one who was on the Coventry Cat Group golden oldie scheme.

You gave him a lovely opportunity of living with you, be proud of yourself and your family. :GroupHug:

  11. We were able to collect the prescription for my daughter at a "Drop In" centre, and I was asked who I was, I don't think she asked for my address.

We tried two chemist type places, one in Morrisons, and a small local Boots. I didn't go in as I have my Coventry Cat Group top on and didn't want to tell the whole world. I said to OH that we should try the big Boots at a retail park near the station. So I went in while he parked the car, and they told me they have only just had the license to supply it very recently - come on this is Boots!

The girl behind the desk said your Joe *******'s Mum aren't you? I was spotted, and the pharmacist asked me for my address! So much for going incognito!
