  1. Only just been able to get back online after laptop problems.South Somerset District Council Show was great - we were lucky with the weather as well given it poured all day Saturday.A lovely supporter from FaceBook came and helped me for an hour so I did get a break from the stall for a change.Crowds weren't as big as last year but I still took a good £108.50 and the lovely people on stall next to me gave me a huge bag of soft toys for the stall. Usual photo, just after I'd set up hence Duncan roaming around off lead.
  2. Trixie jumped up as I was drinking cup tea - spilt on laptop. If I VanisH will see You SaturdaY - keYboard plaYing UP - can still read posts (HopefullY)
  3. Getting closer and closer As I'm not camping will have room in the car for my gazebo if you think it would be useful - and assuming there's space for it on someone's pitch.Could bring swanky new banner too.
  4. No you most definitely are not silly to worry about how he's being treated now.We treat our dogs (and other pets) with dignity during their life and in my opinion that should extend to how they are treated when they leave us.
  5. Brill, will let person offering know and will post when I get back from my Cotswold hols
  6. Sam sent you a pm re out of date flea treatment/shampoo,guess you haven't seen it? Let me know if it's any good as I will pick up from the petshop in Banbury when we are on Oldies weekend - which is very very soon
  7. Lovely to see you here again and also hoping today's visit bought some positive news
  8. I will be having an Oldies Club stall at this great show held in a very pretty, dog friendly park on edge of Yeovil.Sunday 19th June, registration from 11.00am,show starts 12.00midday Yeovil Country Park Press release
  9. hello, lovely to see you here again.Sorry to read about lovely Taylor and Paddywhack Your new trio are adorable.
  10. sadly Bramble returned home but died soon after his return. His owner is devastated but consoled he was at home and they have closure.Run free wee Bramble.
  11. I'd stay in Somerset,I love it so much.Definitely would have lots of land, with a secure fenced area where local dog owners/rescues with scared/no recall dogs could come play in safety.I'd have a weekend beach property either North Cornwall;North Devon or West Dorset (or all 3 ) and I would buy spaces in kennels around the country so poundies would have somewhere to go to be safe until foster homes could be found.I wouldn't run kennels myself, just couldn't do it.My house needn't be huge,an open fire is a must, and a dog room for the oldies I'd have with 24/7 access to their own secure garden. And I'd employ cleaner, and gardener because I hate doing both
  12. so very sorry, she was a lovely dog who had a great life with you and yours.Run free Abby.
  13. Can I scrounge again please as well as tombola items if anyone has (or can get hold of) tennis balls I use them for a popular game on my stalls and get through quite a few of them and would be grateful for any that fellow attendees can bring.
  14. Please anyone in this area can you keep your eyes open for wee Bramble. His owner is distraught and struggling with ill family members to search for him. Thanks http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=30101&status=Lost

  18. been bad, especially reading how everyone else is doing.Been up and down like a yoyo but back on track now (I hope)
  19. Mmm going to the beach was not one of my better ideas, wind was horrendous and as tide was out was blowing sand around something awful so we gave up after an hour, popped into the local 99p shop which has great dog toys for OC lucky dips, and which lets the dogs in as well, then went to a fab park in Burnham which is really lovely - Apex Park.
  20. Taunton Freecyclers are just fab Picked up today 5 bottles of wine,a bottle of Bailey's;toiletries;candles;mugs;jewellery box;latte set in response to a wanted - all from 1 person and all brand new, unopened items plus some books in great condition from a couple of others.I don't post asking for stuff very often - as detailed here - but when I do the response is fantastic.
  21. Sorted out stuff for a Table Top sale at local church (doing a stall for Oldies) all those size 12 clothes I'm never getting back into are going finally Off to pick up some Freecycle stuff soon then taking dogs for what I suspect will be a very windswept walk along Burnham Beach.
  22. thanks for good wishes re RSPCA post. This one isn't online yet but a similar post at another centre is asking for 2 years animal experience which I don't have, will still call anyway.Would need to be a decent salary as well as it's about 8 miles away and only accesible via centre of Taunton which is a pig to drive through and often gridlocked so no way could I come home at lunch to walk dogs. Just been folding up tombola tickets for my next OC stall, what a pian that is
  23. looks just like a Somerset beach with that mud. They all had a fabulous time though obviously Love the lighthouse visitor
  24. West Hatch - local RSPCA rescue/wildlife centre has a vacancy for Reception Supervisor. What a fab job,it's not on their website and when I phoned today was closed so will try again Minday
