suzeanna
Will do, Eve. Sounds as if that hospital was a nasty experience altogether, they told her she could have a shower, then she found the water was cold, and there no towels to dry on, they gave her two pillowslips instead. I'm so glad Philip is still working from home, it's been very foggy the past two morning and looks to be the same tomorrow, I'd hate to think he was driving up the motorway in it. Speaking of motorways, I see the Transport department in its wisdom is going to put in 100 odd more miles of smart motorway. This despite every motoring organisation, all the rescue services and the general public saying they are dangerous. Oh and they are going to be putting the refuges further apart. That makes a lot of sense..not.
eve
I'm obviously not smart as I don't see what difference smart motorways have made despite travelling the full length of the country once a month, prior to the lockdowns. Just more roadworks and delays with no benefit at the end of it.
suzeanna
It just comes down to saving money..it's easier to turn the hard shoulder into an active lane, than to have to build another lane completely. They need to increase the volume of traffic that can be shifted and to hell with safety, it seems to me.
snow
Hello everyone - Suzeanna passed on your good wishes, I'm home now and have strict instructions to take things easy for at least this next week and not to rush back to work until I feel ready. Physically I'm OK I think, but I had a bit of a rough time in the hospital with various things which I'm still coming to terms with. Its all been a big shock and it'll just take me a bit longer to process than it usually would, but I'll get there. If anyone wants to be on my facebook friends list I'm more than happy to add you - it never really occured to me that not everyone was just pm me your facebook name and I'll send an invite. I'll also try and be more regular popping in here. We're still a dog free household for the time being, we haven't felt it the right time for us during all the different lockdowns etc. to get a new family member who we'd not be able to socialise with our grandson or get used to being left for awhile when we go back to working from our respective offices but we do have every intention of adopting again whenever circumstances permit, I'm still keeping a close eye on various rescue groups "just in case".

Pleased you're feeling better physically and hope you get over the mental effects soon. Nothing much to report as usual. Was a lovely morning here so planted up the hanging baskets, drizzly afternoon so popped to the shops for a few bits then read for a while. Hope everyone is well xx
blackmagic
Thick fog descended here this morning. Cleo was not happy walking in it as people suddenly appeared out of it. Getting my eyes tested on Wednesday. Badly needing it but I couldn't get them done before I moved due to covid restrictions. We had a facetime session with my son and his partner in Romania last night. The virus is escalating there as here but their schools are shut and their restaurants open, the opposite of us.
