Yes it is and so have I.

Predictive text can be fun. Good thing I checked the shopping list I texted to my neighbour before I sent it. She would have been baffled by my request for a sandpiper.

We have realised why all the owlets in nest box at the visitor centre died.  Someone looked through all the cctv video. Mother owl went missing, and must have met with accident or something. Father does not feed owlets directly for the first 2 weeks of their life, but passes food to mother to give to them. Owls are highly specialised and not very adaptable, and not actually very wise. So owlets were not fed, and Mr Owl lost his babies as well as his missus :(

Cancelled our meeting to walk with friend this evening. Too hot to go anywhere, Wispa is suffering. Staying home and staying cool. My eye appt on Thurs is on hottest day at 12.30 so I hope Specsavers' aircon is working well.

We've got rain but not jealous of your heat, would be too much for me. Our hottest day is also Thursday but only meant to reach 25c which is a lot less than you're getting down south. We also don't have anything like opticians open yet up here. Some shops can open from next Monday, hopefully they've survived the lockdown. Had a bit of a wander up town  earlier as I had to get a few bits from Boots. It's a tiny town centre really, maybe 30 shops and cafes, mostly independant with only a few like the butcher, newsagent and chemist allowed to open. Praying my hairdresser gets to open soon. Still no date for that up here.

I'm with you Eve regarding the heat, I don't like it too hot, gives me headaches.  It's still reading 25.5 upstairs here!

Owl, our big gull kept coming in really low over the garden this evening, just swooping down and round for about five minutes.  We got a good look at it, yellow legs..that makes it a lesser black backed doesn't it? There are usually two of them, but only this one tonight.  I hope nothing's happened to the other one.

Must remember, I have an appt at the doctor's to have a blood test in the morning and must wear a facemask.

Mum went to the Dr for her appointment with the nurse who duly called 999...now the hospital are saying they may send her home once the senior Dr has seen her so I will be up all night until I know... apparently they think they will just change her antibiotics...that won't sort this and since being there, she has started with a rash...they have decided to change her antibiotics and discharge her... again!

Eve, I am booked for a haircut on the 4th, dad on the 5th and Steve on 6th... could always book and cross the border lol
