suzeanna
If you were talking about my neighbour Yantan, the weed would be correct! When my Tesco delivery came the other week the driver remarked on the strong smell of weed, I assured him it wasn't me!

griff
Morning all, window fitters have arrived next door but planning have said if they haven't agreed those size windows then they will be made to remove and put them back to normal...if they refuse they get taken to court
Yantan
That's good Griff that the planners are now onto them. I just hope they didn't actually get planning permission for the over sized windows. Archie and I have been round the block. Very slowly. Much sniffing was done. By Archie, not me! He's had his breakfast and second breakfast and has crashed out for a nice long nap now. Very foggy when we first got up. I quite like the fog - as long as I don't have to drive in it. griff
They said it could be 3 weeks before they investigate... probably gave them permission to bloody do it knowing our luck. Awwwww pleased Archie has had a mooch about. I am freezing, think I will get in the shower and then put the heating on...got the curtains shut so the dogs don't keep woofing at the workmen. Steve's Dr is going to give him a fit note stating mornings at work... hopefully his work will agree to it

Yantan
It's awful when someone develops dementia and their pets start to suffer as a result. I took a cat as a foster from a lady that I used to see as a home carer. People who knew the lady before the dementia all told me how devoted and loving she was to her cat but the poor thing suffered neglect once her owner was in the grips of dementia. The poor old cat was 18 and had untreated thyroidism . The lady's son agreed to me taking her cat and getting her vet treatment and also paid the bill. After a few weeks with me a smashing new home was found for the cat with a lady who just took in elderly cats who needed a bit of TLC.

Yantan
That lorry driver that ran into Ruby a while back causing quite a bit of damage to her car is having to be chased by a specialist recovery costs company. He has denied COMPLETELY that he ran into or that she had to chase him down to get him to stop. Ruby was asked for a description of him on Monday but so long after the incident she couldn't remember much. She did tell the recovery company about the conversation she had with him when he said Eddie Stobart's would cover it no problem for her but he thought he might lose his job. Ruby thought a firm like Stobart's would be much more honourable in their dealings. I hope the driver gets caught out in his lies. This happened the week after her dash cam broke. I have just bought her another that records both the front and rear of the car. I think they are becoming a must have item these days.

Yantan
Oh same Griff. I chunter away to myself all the while when I'm driving. One of my nephews, when he was a little boy, was in the car with his dad. Someone made a stupid move in their car and dad said "What a silly billy". Nephew chimed in with "yes, he's a effing nutter daddy" When asked where he'd heard that the answer came back "auntie Marion said it when I was in her car". owl
Good luck with the little dog, Jazz. That is unbelievable, that driver saying it never happened. We were parked in the reserve this afternoon and a short eared owl flew up to the car and circled it twice, looking at us through the windows. I was so startled that instead of switching my phone to camera I managed to turn it off. Butterfingers! Wispa was very quiet because she never acknowledges the presence of owls. She reacts to the sound of wings, and if she can't hear its wings it is not a bird, it is just a big fat moth.
